active curve, 2012 ML63 onwards
Are there any components/parts, which are visible underhood, or under the vehicle, to prove your ML63 has the 'active curve' option, versus an ML without it ?
If no, how can you tell/prove it ?

Yes no doubt it's easy!
if you go under the car you can tell very easily when you look at the roll-bars.
Check the picture below you can clearly see the parts in "the middle" of the exhaust

I did check my ML, and my dealer is correct !
I have the only ML550 in north america, for model years 2012, 13 and 14, with the Active Curve option.....
Otherwise, only ML63's have that feature....
