Hey I saw your tread you were talking about with your uncles ml about headlights, I have an 04 CLK 55 AMG and I guess previous owner put aftermarket HELLA HID headlights, I'm trying to find new ones do I get ones with hid build in of the ones that are for halogen? Because when I find most headlights like spyder, they come with hid kid(xenon) but say they're not compatible with OEM Bi-xenon only with halogen, so how do I find out if they guy before me or something had original bi-xenon or halogen and converted to HID like the after market hella ones. Inside the car I have the option for headlight washer but I have an after market bumper so don't have use for it.

My name is David and I purchased a 2009 C63 AMG about 1.5 months ago. The car was purchased with 61,000 miles. Mods so far are Summit Racing X pipe (Resonator and 2nd cat delete), rear carbon fiber big fin diffuser, a Carbon Fiber Gods Hand front lip, Michellin 275/35/18 AS3+'s, and smoked side markers.
Future plans include ROW Airboxes with AFE dry filters and the EC V6 tune.

Lots of sunshine to affect paint and interior and tires, but it's all worth it. Am without a Benz right now. Have owned three, including an amazing C36AMG. I am negotiating now on a CL65.
Just want to introduce myself to the w140 forum. My name is Slim (nickname). My Father owned a '93 500sel since '98. It was one of his many cars which he rarely drove. He meticulously took care of it extremely well, maintenance record up-to-date and it was primarily his pleasure car on the HWY.
He passed away in 2012 and I'm technically the 3rd owner. Everything works and is stock. It has 102,xxx now. This is now my project car still in progress.. the goal is to bring the car back to life in pristine showroom condition.
I just recently dressed her up with some 20" Brabus Monoblock III's on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires 255 / 35 / 20 all around, no spacers. It took me over 10 years to find the wheels, finally got 'her done.

Owned a lot of different cars - a Toyota Yaris, a Kia Koup, a 2013 BMW 420d, a 2013 CLA200 AMG line, and I've finally ended up with a 2006 CLS55 AMG... don't ask me why... or how it happened, long story Now I've ended up with this amazing car, with a million miles on it, and that many problems. Looking for your help to solve at least some of them myself, without taking it to the dealership (they are crazy expensive in this part of the world). Spend lots of time driving back and forth between countries, and loving the powerful engine and the comfort.

Seems a bit of a rare bird as I can't find reference to it on the US-based sites. This is my first Mercedes, after having owned a few VW's and a Saab. I have been a Mercedes Benz fan for some years now but I didn't relaize how in love I was with MB until I sold my first. My first MB was a 2011 ML 350 4matic. I made the major mistake of selling that vehicle for a new truck. Within a week I had major regrets. Nothing could compete with the luxury and quality. My next purchase was a C300 Sport 4Matic. This has eased the regret I have felt for the past year. Soon I will be buying another ML 350. I have test drove newer models such as the GLE but nothing compares to my first MB. (Sentimental value) I had a lot of great road trips/ memories in that vehicle and I will find another identical model. Mostly I am here to learn as much as I can and help out anywhere I can.
I am looking at how and what I can do to upgrade my C300. ( I have the old set in the dash screen and I would like the flip up screen) It would be great if someone could point me in the right direction as I am new to forums. Thank you all so much!
P.S. I enjoy IMSA racing. (Mercedes won the Bubba Burger Grand Prix in its class early April!) I'm from Michigan but I live in both Missouri and Michigan. My dream car is a Mercedes-Benz AMG GTR.

Hello everyone! I owned a Mercedes in the past which turned out to be a lemon. After swearing-off Mercedes and vowing that I'd never buy one again, I fell in love with a Mercedes c230 Kompressor that was a fantastic deal! During the first year of owning, I've had multiple repairs. I will try to post about the current repair in the forum here.

Hey Everyone- new here to MBWorld- I purchased my 2009 S550 two years ago and it's the nicest car I've ever owned (although I have had 3 other Benz's but this is by far the nicest.)
I just recently purchased 2 classic W126 560 SEL's and my wife wants to know why. The first is a 1988 in Smoke Silver and a real nice car and I am having new hydraulic shocks and accumulators put in as we speak and also a SLS flush. This car only has 103K miles and is near mint. The other is a 1991 560 SEL in dark grey and needs alot of TLC including new paint. I am including photos of my S550 as well as the other 2 that I have. There one photo of all 3 cars in the driveway and it's such a cool shot!
Not sure what to do with the 1991... considering whether to keep and restore it or sell it as is and let someone else do the work. Any ideas or comments will be helpful as well as trusted resources in CT as to restoring the car, if I decide to go that route.
