Welcome New Members
just had a programmer put on my GLE 43. everything worked fine ... for about 10k miles... now, the other day the vehicle started to sputter while accelerating and finally just just stopped.
brought it to a mom and pop auto shop and they told me my fuel pump in my tank was bad?
has anyone ever heard of this??? Is it a fluke???
Need help as my car is sitting and not working

Tony - try posting your question in the GLE area where other owners can advise.
My first Merc was a secondhand 450 SEL 1976. It had a hole in the exhaust that made it sound like a sporty V8.
I like quite a few things about it but the thing that impressed me the most was the handling. For a big car, it went around bends really nicely. Nice and controlled slides even.
In my former cars, a windy road at 100 km/h felt just that but in the Merc I could be doing 120 - 130 and it felt like 100..
That was a while ago now.
I currently have a 2003 ML 270. I quite like it but it doesn't have the same handling although it is pretty good.
I like working on it and have found most problems are fixable.
I have a few issues that aren't so easily fixed so I thought I would join some like-minded folks here.
One of the things that impressed me about the 450 was when I was fixing a rear window winder problem, when I took the electrical plug off its connection and disassembled it, inside was a small piece of cardboard with the wiring diagram and pinouts, inside the connector. I wasn't expecting that, as they say.
Cool.
I bought a used stock 2007 C280 4matic last March. It has very small dimples from a hail storm, so it's like a black golf ball.
The car has given me many issues and headaches. I have used much help from this forum to help me fix most of my problems. I will continue to use this forum to work on my car.
Thanks for everyone's help.
I've just brought a 2009 amg c63 wagon so far enjoying the little beast and the looks I'm getting as she roars past many!

Think it's time to get a STAGE 2 tune

My name isStanley Chilambe from Cape Town South Africa. I have a Mercedes c200 w203 2003. I’m new to the make and looking forward to it. My Mercedes just started me off with water in oil and it has had me. Changed the oil cooler Head gasket had the head skimmed and new oil cooler yet still mixing water in oil. Any suggestions.

P.S. Im half a mechanic.
New to forum and Freshman to the AMG models.
01 CLK55 AMG!! Cheapest on craigslist in the country but in need of MAJOR love. When driving it floats and scrapes, rubs, squeaks etc. I purchased it because the Engine and Transmission are solid. Stopping and going is great but ride is trash someone threw on 20” Donker wheels.
Plans are to restore it fully, it has 239k so also high mileage.
Im currently restoring a 67 BMW 1600-02 that is almost complete so not new to wrenching and restoring..

Cannot wait to sort out this beast of a car. No plans to modify just restore as I truly believe I cannot reinvent what AMG engineers created.

I am looking to buy a sweet SL 500 2007-2013 in Dallas.
Happy to be here.
Thanks folks!

I've been a long time BMW owner.
I'm thinking of making the switch to Mercedes Benz. I worked at a dealership that sold them and never drove one until about two weeks ago.
They had a CPO E series that I was really interested in. One of the sales advisors was kind enough to let me drive it and took a lot of time to teach me about the car. It was an awesome experience to say the least.
We couldn't work the deal out because I owed too much on my end to make it feasible. I'm hoping that the car is either there or another has taken it's place.
They are different than a BMW for sure. In a good way!!
I joined to become better educated on the Mercedes Benz platform and make a better informed decision when the time comes.

my name is Ben and I own a 2009 SL550 Dimond white with Sport pkg.
I come from the Porsche world glad to be able to join the Mercedes world and I hope I can learn a lot.
thank you all from Texas.
