Hi everyone, I'm phill, I live in Scotland & i've a 2006, C class 220 CDI estate.
Got some issues with slight corrosion on the rear end but it seems a good car so far, but then, I've only had it a few days
Cheers, Phill

New to the Benz
Hi my name is Bodsville. I bought my first Mercedes a few weeks ago. It is a 2006 E-350 with 172K miles. Both interior and exterior are beautiful. I recently sunk a chunk into the engine to replace a worn balancing shaft. Now i'm looking forward to miles and miles a great rides.

New member here,
went trhough my first to MB in less than 6 weeks.
Bought an 2013 e550 from mercedes miami with extensive not disclosed mechanical issues. Just picked up a 2014 cls550 today. They raped me on the trade in they sold me with bent wheels bad differential collapsed engine mounts leaking exhaust bad wheel bearing bad strut bushing. Yes sir they took my car back at a loss to me.
stay away from that dealership.
on top of that their service manager Robert took a ride with me today and he tried to say my car was riding just fine.
The GM didnt do jack **** to help out.
Unfortunately That was my first MB and left me with a very sour taste in my mouth.

Old and Newbie
My name is Steve and I am a two time MB owner. We are in the Seattle, Wa, area where people don't wash their cars very often because it rains every time you go to the car wash.
The first was a 1978 450 SLC that i bought in 1989. It was pretty well trashed when I got it, but I was young and in love with idea of owning a MB. Since I bought it for my wife for a wedding present (she had given me Christmas wish list that had included a 450SL silver with blue leather interior), I set about to make the car right. I dropped $16K (1990 dollars) to have the body made over completely with new hoo,d fenders, doors, seat leather, and many mechanical improvements. I finally realized that I had more in the car than I could recover in a sale, so I stopped the improvements. As it turned out we ended up donating the car to charity to recover some of our investment in tax reduction. Some very luck person got a really cool car. Sorry, I have no photos as I couldn't bear having them.
So, long story short, we just purchased an immaculate lease return 2014 E350 Coupe with only 17,500 miles for a great price. It feels like a re-incarnation of the 450SLC with handling, power, comfort and controls are almost beyond my comprehension. For those of you thinking about adding to or upgrading your stable, check into the lease return market via a Mercedes authorized pre-owned dealer. Ours was as near to new as you might expect at half the price of new (and still under mfr. warranty).
So, although I am older and less able to turn a wrench myself (not withstanding the technological changes) I will checking in to see what others are doing to their MBs and looking for cost efficient solutions to the things I's like to see change (not to much that I can think of right now). And, we're gonna be doing some road trips so I'll share about that too.
Regards,
Steve (and Nancy in abstensia)

Hi all, my name is Pete & I’ve just bought a 2007 ML63 AMG, I decided to buy an extended warranty with it & glad I did. Had it for 1 week & got stuck in a car park with no crank issue, turns out there were 9 faults in the ecu. My mechanic still has it & waiting to hear back, all covered by the warranty except for $240 for 2 tows.

DIY rim repair or replace rims?
I have 2 oem 17” amg rims that are chipped and I’m not sure what to do to them, obviously my solution to my dilemma was to replace them but I was wondering if I could repair them! Any thoughts?

First Mercedes-- a C230 Kompressor Sport 6MT
Hi, Dave here in Toledo, Ohio.
Bought my first Mercedes last summer-- a 2005 C230 with about 100,000 miles, and have since put in a new engine, new front bushings, new front stabilizer bar and links, new struts, new rear shocks, and just installing new headlight assemblies.
It's a fun car to drive, and am enjoying it. !!

Memorial Day sale
Hi all
I feel blessed to have purchased a CPO 2018 c300 sport from the local dealership as part of the Memorial Day sale in sunny SoCal.
allegedly the previous owner leased the car for 3 months and then couldn’t afford it and returned it to the dealer. i went to the dealer early on Friday and got the “best deal on the lot” according to the salesman.
Hope to contribute and get great advice from my fellow owners!
