Navigating the site
Hi,
I've been using this site for the past few months and I have benefited quite a lot. However I still find navigating around the site a chore. Eg, I can't edit or delete a post or a thread; not sure what the difference is rather.
Is there a FAQ specific to the new comers?
Thanks,

Hi From Aldie Va,
I am not a new member, but just never did the intro thing or commented very much on any of the threads. I purchased a 2010 Black on Black C63 Sedan with 7K miles on it about 5 years ago as my daily driver. Now that it is almost paid off, I want to start upgrading it and making it faster. Right now it is pretty stock except for a few small mods.

2010 Mercedes E550
2010 Mercedes Benz E550
Hello,
Checking in from Kansas/Missouri I’m new to the Benz community came from a 2006 Toyota 4Runner. Loving the car can’t wait to fix up this car. It’s a 2010 Mercedes E550 with 90k I got it for a little less then 14k. It’s a very nice car hoping to learn more about it I live on a gravel road so it looks like it’ll be a dusty black😂

Newish Kinda...
I joined this forum a while ago when I got my SL500 in 2015. I had always wanted one of these and honestly I was pretty apprehensive (i.e. many sleepless nights wondering if I made a bad decision) when I purchased it. I spent a lot of time reading the information here, learned alot and so glad I took the plunge. Aside from a transmission issue, on the third day of ownership (which the dealership handled at no cost to me :-D) and some minor parts replacements, the car has been rock solid and I enjoy every minute I get to spend in it.
So here is the car... 2005 SL 500 Designo and though it was 10 years old, it had less than 15K miles on it. It may not be the fanciest SL on the block or the fastest, but it is mine and now has 41k miles on it. I drive it everyday, for the most part.

Hi, I'm Chris Coccaro. I just found myself a 1994 E420 with 82K miles that seems in fairly good shape. I have an attachment to this car having worked for MBUSA's ad agencies for over 25 years. The first project I worked on for them was a TV spot for this exact model, using examples in exactly the color combination (Smoke Silver over Parchment) I bought. I like think that I'm being a good brand ambassador because I feel that seeing older MBs on the road speaks to drivers of the newer models about quality, durability and legacy... hey, maybe my work actually helped sell this vehicle new! That said, owning an advanced age vehicle of any brand is scary! I'm glad to find someplace to come for advice. So far "I've" done the BG fuel system/injector service, replaced the cracked front springs *did the front shocks while there*, flushed and replaced the coolant with the blue stuff, replaced the ignition lock cylinder after it fell apart in my hands lubricating it due to stiffness (really dodged a bullet there...if you have a W124 or older and you feel it's stiff get it out of there ASAP, you don't want it breaking in the dash...the design doesn't allow it to be removed if it breaks there and you'd have to cut apart the steering column lock and shift interlock). Not ready for pics yet as previous owner replaced the cracked front bumper with one in a different color, so I have plans to have that repainted and will share once done. Other small items: replaced the mirror switch and working on repairing the antenna clutch gear to get a new mast in there. CD changer is toast, but cassette deck responded well to a good cleaning. Next items: replace trunk weather strip, brake flush, differential fluid, power steering flush, engine flush via BG 109 pending advice on another thread... and to start saving for the inevitable timing chain guide/cam oiler/breather tube items I've read that the M119 requires. Wish me luck! Time will tell if its a time machine or a time bomb.

Hi. I recently purchased my very first Mercedes-Benz. I found a one-owner 2015 GLK 350 4Matic in pristine condition with low miles at a fair price...white exterior/beige interior...so I jumped on it. I went from an aging Escalade (extended length model) that was starting to develop problems...the proverbial "one-thing-after-another" syndrome...to this little cream puff. Coudn't be happier! It's a much smaller vehicle, obviously, so it's a much different driving experience...but I'm loving the gas mileage and the maneuverability of the GLK. And I also like the feeling of being "connected" with the road again. (The Escalade is very good at what it does...which is basically isolate you from the outside world...) My GLK is a base model, so I intend to do a few minor upgrades...just to add some features it's lacking. I've already run into a couple of questions and I figured the folks in this forum (who appear to have a wealth of knowledge) might be able to help me out!

I bought a 2018 C63s Cab in February. In the 4 months I’ve owned the car it’s been in the shop the last two. I’ve asked for a new car as they can’t seem to fix the injector / firing issue in the #4 cylinder. Has anyone else had issues?

Hello to all!
Greeting to all, I'm new to the MBWorld and from Southern California. I just purchased a 2005 E320 and is the first MB I've owned. Recently, gave away my 01 740il to a friends son. I look forward to learning from all the members in this forum that have the time to help an old Chevy,Ford,BMW and now new Mercedes Benz guy. Thank you in advance for all your help and look forward to hearing from you.

Hi and newbie question
Hi, I'm Rick from Minnesota, and I joined the forum to learn more about my wife's 2016 E350 sedan. I went to Forums, and Mercedes-Benz Sedans, and under E-Class I don't see E350. Instead, the options are W213, W212, W211, W210, W124, W123 and W114/W115. Which is the correct for questions about 2016 E350?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi guys & gals!
My name is Iwo, Iiving in Warsaw, Poland. Currently I am driving a BMW 335i, which I love. Nevertheless, I do appreciate (and have owned) cars from various manufacturers/niches as long as the people behind them can be callled 'enthusiasts' (actually, my first car ever was a '91 560 SEC in Perlmuttgrau )
Anyways, I came over, because of some research I am doing. Hopefully, you guys would be kind enough to share some of your thoughts with me More on that in the relevant topic, though.
Cheers!
Iwo

Hello everybody, I am glad to see such wonderful blog site about these great cars. I have two S-Class. A 2000 S430 and a 2005 S500. The S500 was bought for me, but looks like the wife has fallen in love with it. It had 118K original miles and was well cared for during the past 13 years. I will post pictures as I make them.
