Welcome New Members
I am not sure how other 55's run. If I am rolling under 15 MPH and hit the gas hard, my will spin and leave a 3' double tire burn mark on the pavement. From a dead stop, I can burn a 65' two wheel burn out. I have to let off the gas a little and hit it again several time to keep the engine from over revering, causing a stall.
Can all SL55’s do burn outs with ease?
Do all SL55's have power to both rear wheels?
Jay

We have a 2012 Pruis V
and a 2006 Dodge Dakota, short bed.
After sitting in a cold garage overnite, the next morning, the radio will not work.
I drive 7 miles to a volunteer job. No radio.
When I leave, 4 hours later, the radio comes on.
Any ideas?
The car drives when driven VERY gently, but has very little power and no kick down whatsoever.
The roof won't open properly and it looks like the roof is damaged by previous attempts to close it.
It needs a full service and all lubricants, filters and belts replaced.
I have little time, so this is my long term project.
Underneath hides a fantastic car with only 46K miles.
I cannot believe my luck.

Since i am located in Denmark (EU) then its limited which model one can buy without rubbing a bank... This crazy country choose to Tax all cars 180% before they hit the road... so u can imagine how expensive it gets when one wants to purchase a newer model.
I have been blessed to be raised with MB and i know for certain that there is only 2 kinds of cars in this world... 1. Mercedes and 2 all other cars...
So i hope you guys won't mind in helping me out from time to time...

Hello, name is Jose from Jacksonville FL, currently an owner of a 06 CLS55. Love the car love the power. Purchased it in 09 and havent had a single problem until today. Looking for some troubleshooting advice. Site is very educational that provides a wealth of knowledge.
New 2002 320 owner here.
Joining a forum is only logical if it has value.
Being a former Acura owner I was part of a few forums. After a few years they had lost their luster and the conversations had become stale.
Now I am a overjoyed and pleased owner of a ML.
I had reviewed this site before I bought the truck. Looking at lots of pictures and reading lots of vehicle comments. The test drive was the best test drive I had had in many years.
Anyways.
Being a used truck, I had a problem with the vehicle not starting after 1 month of ownership. Checking this web site, finding people who were having or had had the same problem gave me a 99% surety that I was experiencing a similar problem.
I'm a long distance truck driver who travels 45 states. My ML had the problem in my companies parking lot and I had to leave it for a few weeks.
Buying the parts was an adventure. I bought the Crank Shaft Sensor in a Southern California shop and the (E8),E10 and E12 Torx along with 1/8, 1/4 extensions in a Western Idaho Baxters.
Got back after 4 weeks. Installed the part and BAM! or crank, crank.
Engine started on first try. And have had no probs since.
Thanks to this site, I saved sooooo much mula
.I Hope that in the future I will be able to contribute meaningful dialog that will help and maintain this site.

I am Michael and own a 2001 E320 4Matic that I try to take really good care of. I've discovered my alternator is dead and my shop is about thirty miles away in Portland, OR. I am wondering if, on a fully charged battery (no headlights or other unnecessary electrical stuff on) if I dare to make the trip rather than have it towed? I've never tried running the car on battery only (well long enough to take it a couple miles to have the battery/alternator checked out) and have no idea how much run time I may have.
Thanks very much!
Michael
