Greetings all! I just picked up my GLB 250 this afternoon. So far, I love it. I stumbled across this forum this evening and figure this will be a great way to keep informed.
Last month I bought my first Merc. A 2017 E 400 4matic coupe with 17k miles. I am in love. This car is fantastic and everything I hoped it would be. I caught the MB bug when I took a trip to Florida and rented an AMG C63 S. That thing was bonkers. But it didn't matter. I had to have a 2 door Merc. Looking forward to what this group has to share.
Hello all.
Postdude20 here from southern Indiana, USA. Bought wife a 2017 GLC 300 4 matic last summer and we love it. I was reading some of the other threads, and have a question, what does CPO mean?
I just picked up my first Mercedes, It's a 2019 glc63s.
This thing is a monster!
I'm looking forward to gaining some knowledge from experienced members here. Nokian studded winter tires on vossen 20" rims
Hi all, just joined today. Based in Bedfordshire in the UK. Have owned my workhorse for 4 years now, a 2015 C220 AMG Line estate. Had 23,000 miles when I bought it and now has 105,000. Love it and can't bring myself to own anything other than Mercedes! Even used it for my recent wedding!! Only problems I have had are the Aux battery warning, a Nox warning and a creaking drivers door hinge. All common issues and easily solved.

Hello from Canada. I'm on my 3rd Mercedes. Started with an awesome 90 W124 300E, moved up to a 98 W140 S-Class that I drove for nearly ten years and now have downgraded to a 2006 W251 R-Class. Not built the same. I always work on my own cars as I enjoy tinkering but the R is proving to be a real challenge. Looking for advice and techniques on how to crack all the computers, coding and reading. I don't want to pay someone every time I need access to car info. What are others doing? Is Xentry something that's easy to set up and use?
I'm back! after leaving 2013 ish and going through multiple "other" vehicles (BMW, Ford, Mazda, RAM), I returned to Benz.
My wife bought an SLK350 last March and I just picked up a 2019 CPO A220 on Sunday....was not even looking but the service received from my local dealer was so good when dealing with my wife, it was a no-brainer.
I do have a question now though...the NAV button does nothing on the vehicle as it's registered to the previous owner. I'm getting this corrected tomorrow but does that mean I have to pay a subscription?....does anyone know the annual costs?
Many thanks.
Hello M_World,
Another newbie to the forum, and a newbie to Mercedes. I've always loved Mercedes from afar but went other routes; JCWs and American muscle.
After becoming disenchanted with the ordering process with the new Ford Bronco release I canceled an early order in January and went on the hunt for a new car option.
Starting fresh I made the decision not to pursue a truck/suv and focus on cars that are exciting to drive. I circled the usual suspects—Audi/BMW/Lexus/Tesla and Mercedes.
This meant other than Lexus I had to find used versions to test drive. Luckily my local dealer had a low milage A35 that I spent some time driving and exploring. I really considered buying that car but in the end, I placed an order for a 22 CLA35 in late January and grabbed the third week of May allotment for my dealer.
My CLA35 order was sitting right at 59K American—without the Burmester upgrade (not available on the 35 currently). Music is very important to me, I've been collecting vinyl since I was a teen, played and toured in a band, and I want a little kick to the sound system. After getting a few quotes to beef up the base mid-line stereo — I was looking at a minimum of another 4K investment, more like 6K to replace speakers, amps, and add a DSP.
With some reflection—the reality I faced is I'm building a CLA35 that will cost more about as much as a CLA45.
Last week I sat down with my salesperson and the dealership GM and we built a CLA45 (total cost of $66,400) and they were able to convert their CLA 45 allotment for May.
Now comes the waiting game—my dealer is saying two-three months for build and shipping to the US. I'm excited to follow along with others that also have new orders.
My name is Mark Willard, I currently reside in Seattle, and I have two Mercedes-Benz'.
The first one is an off-yellow 1984 300D named Madeline, with about 171k miles on it.
The second one is a teal on blue 1991 300e (name TBD, either Johanna or Victoria), with approx. 87k on it.
I purchased Madeline in 2020 when she had just under 160k miles on the clock. She had an accident history, but all the repairs seemed to be done to spec and there was no frame damage.
The purchase price was fair and I have since put a few thousand into odds and ends like brakes, brake lines, fluid flushes, valve adjustments, new hoses, etc.
A few months ago I loaned Madeline to my nephew (featured below) due to his 97' E320's headgasket finally calling it quits around 230k miles. We ended up purchasing him an 01' E430 that appears to be in good working order.
While borrowing the 300D, my nephew accidently overfilled the oil by 2 quarts or so and drove it for a few thousand miles. Consequently, virtually all the gaskets had sprung a leak by the time she was returned to me (cardboard also featured below).
It appears that no extensive damage was done to the core (still have yet to do a compression test), but she is on standby for the foreseeable future.
Coincidentally, my mechanic called me a day after putting Madeline in storage letting me know of an estate find he had cleaned up and offered to sell it to me. Just like Madeline she had an accident history but nothing substantial.
I jumped at the offer given the condition and mileage. The 300E isn't without issues, but she seems well worth the investment.
I appreciate you all welcoming us into your community, and I look forward to future discussions.

Both have excellent body condition! Well kept cars!
For a brief moment, I thought I saw some 'rust' in the lower front bumper area (300D) but then I recognized those are reflection of the lawn grass off the chrome...lol
Hi from Norway. Lots of nice cars in here, both old and new. Have had many cars over the years but not many MB. Grew up where my father had -61 MB 190 black with red leather interior and white steering wheel which was a great car that I as an 18 year old got the pleasure of driving. My first MB was -73 280 SE, the second was a -82 300 TDT. After many years without MB, I have now bought a CLS 350 CDI 4 MATIC from -12 which we hope can be a pleasant experience since it has only gone 70,000 km which can be both positive and negative. Hope it will be a good experience, must have new tires first, for safety a chassis treatment. Excited after the first miles
Hello my name is Stephon coming from St. Paul Minnesota I just recently bought a 2017 AMG C43! I just recently got into cars so I’m looking forward to learning so much from the people here!

Im from switzerland and share these pictures of my w204 c63 p31 with you guys. The BBS wheels are brand new and look great on that car.
On MB world in another forum thread I would like to find out whether the rear fender of my car can be rolled/pulled in such a way that my rim is flush.
Hello! Anybody could help me. I am looking if there is code (and what is this code) for the small tow located in the amg front bumper highlighted with the red arrows in the attached picture?
Thank you in advance!
Hi, John here and a new member to the MB family. Just took ownership of a 2004 CLK 320. So far so good. It breezed through MD inspection with just a headlight cleaning (Standard in MD). It has 68K miles on it and looks great. I am looking forward to getting some help here as it has a few minor issues I will be asking help for once I read all the stickies and get myself comfortable here. .
