Hello!
Hey everyone my name is Joe. I just recently joined this forum and am excited to chat with some like minded people. I am also interested in the lease transfering process. Would be great if anyone could give me some insight. I have already posted a thread under the "for sale" sub topic. Please let me know if there is a better sub topic to post under.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi. First time poster and I need some help in Cape Town, South Africa. I have a 2005 E350 (W211 - 272 motor) that is now giving error P2004 [Short circuit to ground of sensor lines / Tumble flap shafts stuck in the actuated position]. I have seen many posts & videos on purchasing & replacing the Intake Manifold Actuator Rod/Throttle lever.
Problem is I've never worked on my own cars. The dealer only replaces the entire inlet manifold and any mechanic I have spoken to claims the plastic bits in the manifold would be broken and also wants to replace the manifold.
Can anyone advise me who I can go to in my region?
[I will try to repeat this post in a more appropriate thread]

I'm Back!
Had a untimely end with my W203 '03 C240 4MATIC. I grabbed a w124 1994 E320 Estate for the family. Great plans to customise for multi-purpose driving.
Picked up a W210 97 E320 for the wife
(gotta love that M104 inline 6)
as a daily for safe travels; plans to inherit and convert that into an agressive Street Sweeper for spirited drives (18" Durandals/Work Meisters) after getting her a W203/204 4MATIC (we swear by the 4matic system).
Located in Seattle Washington, feel free contact me on all things Mercedes.

benz & a ford
Don't know much~
Seems like a good group however, I'm having issues trying to find how to actually START a post. I need to know if there are ways to tow a MB E350 4matic with 4 down. I'm not able to find specific answers on this and I would like to (still) be able to start my own thread/post/question.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In reference to the comment about 4MATIC towing. Not recommended, if your referring to towing with all wheels touching the ground (or any for that matter).
Flatbed is always advised for Mercedes towing (partially because of low clearance if angled). Hope this helps.

4th MB but new to the forum. Thanks everyone!
At the ripe age of 41 I am just starting to take my love of cars and begin the process of learning how to work on them and customize them. Looking forward to sharing my progress and learning from the experts here. Thanks in advance.

1979 Mercedes Benz 300CD Series
New Here
Hi. I just joined recently because I need help regarding my 1979 Mercedes Benz 300CD series. This car was given to me by a friend a year ago. I'd previously been without a car for 4 years.
Recently I had a glow plug go out. When a second glow plug went out a friend decided to change all 5 of them for me. My problem is the #5 glow plug closest to the firewall, the loop on the end of the glow plug keeps breaking off. We've replaced the glow plug 3 times and the same thing keeps happening.
My friend thinks there is probably something knocking around in the cylinder that keep breaking the glow plug off, that I probably need a cylinder sleeve, and that this will probably require taking the engine apart. This all sounds very expensive to me. I would like to know if anyone has any insight regarding this problem. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the forum categories here but if someone can suggest a more appropriate thread for me to post this question in I'd be more than happy to do that. Thank you.

Back In The (Heated and Cooled) Saddle Again
Even before the wreck that took my first S500, I spent hours studying this forum for ways to fix broken things. Now with another one with no less broken parts I decided to become a member.

BMW 335i - soon .. AMG C63s
Hello AMG! Goodby BMW.
Leaving behind the world of BMW. Just placed my order for a C63S today! I still love BMWs but in this class of car the C63S with the V8 and killer exhaust is just, well... more satisfying.
