1989 260E, 1991 300D 2.5
A Note of Thanks
Hi All,
I'm Doc from Sunny Southern California. I am a building engineer by trade with an extensive background in commercial air conditioning and refrigeration.
I recently ended my 12 year relationship with my old Volvo's. Had a 240 and a 740. In April, I found a 1989 260E online that I had to have. The '89 was the classic little-old-lady story. It's immaculate and runs great.
So, I sold off my Volvo's to make room. And, just this past month, I also purchased a 1991 300D for my daily commute.
I do most all of my own work. I bought three repair manuals but each one seems to have gaps. By searching this forum, I can fill in the gaps and get practical tips for each procedure. It is a true God-send.
I want to thank everyone for all the help I have received from this forum. I've been lurking here since April. You helped me locate and repair the problem with my 300D transmission shifting by replacing the vacuum modulator.
Looking forward to learning the W124!
Again, thanks

04' SL600, 12' Maxima, 12' SVT Raptor
Hi fellow "bav-addicts"
My name is Nick (24 y.o) and reside in New York. I'm an owner of a Orion Blue w/ charcoal leather 04' SL600 with 945 miles and nine hundred and fourty five miles (3 digits) in 10 years. Love the car, its kept excellent, meticulously physically and driven wise just due to not being driven enough it has its small downfalls. It runs amazing but im assuming the miniscule light surges that barely occur are being caused by a alternator not fully functioning. It also has an SRS light on aswell as its maintenance notification by 700 some odd days..but Im looking at possibly selling it but not cheap offcourse. It belonged to my father since he bought it brand new in 2004 for 130k and change and it has not been registered since 2006 only driven around are development. I can't afford to insure a car like that especially under the circumstances of my driving record. For a car of this condition I personally feel and should be sold at no less than $45k, its not book value ofcourse but a car of this age thats practically new should be well worth the price and more and say even if it did need at the most 10k to be brought back to what it supposed to be is totally worth also considering its still less than half the price of a new SL, but thats my opinion. Anyways, thats all folks! Ill post a few pics in a minute..

Hi my name is Kate. I live in Powder Springs, Georgia. I have always love Mercedes Benz Cars. My first Merc was 1996 E350 (sold), 2002 ML430 (sent it to Nigeria, still mine), now I have a R350 and my husband's 2006 E350. I always tell my family and friends that = there are cars but there is only one MERCEDES =.
My only problem with Mercedes Benz vehicles is the maintenance or service issues. We just did a D-service on my husband's R350 (cost = $4,998:00), and within one month an E-service came up. My was a B-service (cost =$997:00), within two weeks, a C-service light came on. We had not recovered from the services, when other service lights came on. But no matter what, I love my MB.

Hey
I go by AK , i have finally got my first car which is a Mercedes C230 coupe !
I will be doing a lot of stuff to it such as lowering ,new rims, subs, stereo, wide tires (etc). This car has been Garage kept for almost 7 years and has only 30k miles !!! So i had to take it to a foreigner auto shop and get everything tuned up and ready to go.

Hi, my name is Bill and I live in Melbourne Australia.
I own an ML320 2001 model, and a C220 CDI 2008 model.
I need some assistance with audio streaming from an iphone 4s in the C220.
I have already tried all the engineering screen solutions which haven't worked.
Any suggestion??

Hello folks, Phil from North Jersey. Run a family owned German car repair shop. I have always visited this site to view interesting builds. Just joined in hopes of communicating with others who have jumped head first into the world of inconceivable engine swaps.
I drive a tried and true 99 ML320. Love it to death for the snow up here. I purchased a lower mileage rust free 99 ML320 to swap my m113k engine into.

Finally signed up!
Hi all. I have lurked here for years and found answers to numerous questions about several of my Benzes so thought I should do the right thing!
I currently have a W108 being restored and a W211 E500 as my daily. Mostly interested in performance mods and the occasional error fix
My main business is carbon fibre so you'll see just a little bit on my cars.
So hi and thank you.
PS A bit sad that someone else has my user name

2011 C300 4matic Sport
Newbie Introduction
Hi everyone. My wife's daily driver is a 2011 C300 4Matic. I've been trolling this site until we picked up our first and hopefully not last Mercedes Benz.
I hope to eventually contribute something useful in the future, but for now I hope to learn as much as possible from everyone. Until then, it's off to Googling and find out about workshop code 606, service b, items 2 and 3 message that just popped in the dashboard.
Wish me luck!
Best regards,
Rick

I just finished a project of refinishing the wood veneer console on my (W126) '87 420SEL. This daunting project outlined in the next MB Vancouver Island Club newsletter. Beautiful 114,000 mile W126 currently for sale. integrity@telus.net
