Welcome New Members
it's a good car but I've some mysterious electrical fault that is draining the battery in 3 days so I'll be posting up in the electrical section I guess.
Apologies for the poor quality pic - it's the smallest I've got and I can't resize them on this computer.
Battery drained down in 3 days, you have a major current draw, use a volt ohm meter and start checking fuses, you have more than just a parastic draw, how about the battery how old is it? The battery could have a problem with it. I hope you find the electrical problem.
You're car is beautiful and I'm jealous...I've always wanted an S-body sedan. I have a friend who has an S-430 and have driven it--it's a wonderful car and every bit a Mercedes.
I had a battery problem with my E-320 a couple months ago. Symptomatically the battery ran down to the point that the lighs (including the headlights) and other electrical stuff ran fine. However, it would not start the car. It turns out that in the E-320 at least, the computer will not allow the car to spin the starter unless the battery is capable of handling that load (which is significant!).
The solution in my case was simply to replace the battery. You may have a different experience, of course. The folks on here are REALLY helpful and will let you know if you ask. It seems most effective to post in the chat area for your model/year car, though you could also try electrical. There are folks on here who are passionate about a particular model car, so they're really knowledgeable about that model and that's why I suggest the are for your car rather than a general electrical question. But try both! Why not?
Have a good evening over there..my ancestry is part Irish so I've always wanted to visit there, but the country is stunningly beautiful, so it's worth seeing even if your NOT Irish!

Thanks for the good wishes. The original battery was new - less than 2 weeks old when I bought the car (the seller conveniently not declaring the issue to me - thanks !) and the replacement is 2 weeks old.
Yes there is some kind of parasitic drain - been reading through the potential culprits on the forum. Could be the alarm, could be the radio (don't have Comand or memory seats). Will do some multimeter tracking.
Yes you all have to come to Ireland to visit - it's a great place, the scenery is wonderful and the people very welcoming.

My name is SHAMBHOO, from Pune, India. I bought my Mercedes in 2011. C250 CDI Diesel a 500 Nm Monster. I wanted to buy a car which fitted my 3 conscious and 3 sub conscious wishes, after I narrowly missed an accident in Old FORD Ikon. Consciously I wanted a SAFE, DRIVABLE (AGILE) and COMFORTABLE vehicle and subconsciously I wanted a car with Dashing look all round, Fantastic Audio System and Cornering lights. All my wishes were granted in this car. Even now, I keep looking at again and again whether in parking or reflection on a glass building. I must have done some good deeds indeed in past birth. I was actually driven by DESTINY towards this car. But, that's a different story. Probably in the next message. Story of my selection of Merc. From Ford to Merc. Which took me 4 years.

Just joined the forum. I picked up an '09 W204 C300 4Matic. I am a new member here from Ontario, Canada. Have owned a number of vehicles from Audi to Honda to Acura in the past few years. This is my first Mercedes and so far I'm loving it.
Will be scouring the forums for some help on replacing the third brake light and have been running into some issues only with my cd changer (the infamous 'device unavailable' error on Audio 20 system).
Anyways, looking forward to gathering some valuable insights from the forum and to being a part of this community.
Cheers,
Daniel
See ya on the road !!
