Hey all, I just picked up a 2013 SL550 Designo with 9,400 miles on it and love it! Renntech has programmed the computer and it really woke this thing up! I'm hoping to get some more mods done to the car to make it a sleeper lol! Never enough power right!? Anyway, XCELR8N is the plate that was on my '06 Z06 vette when I tracked it. It's now on the 'Benz and I have to back it up with some power 👍 So I'm hoping for some wise direction in this area. I'm in Calif. and am looking for some great shops to keep the maintenance up and do some tweaking for that needed power. I have a problem in car e300 2012 (w212) it needs 11 seconds from 0 to 100 km/hr.
The car is with 7 gears and 1st gear is shifting at a speed of 51 km/hr and the 2nd gear at 80 km/hr and the 3rd gear at 120 km/hr and rpm max reach the first red line after 6000 rpm
Any one have an idea about my car ??

Tom from west Tennessee. Just found my way into a 2013 SL550 with 9000 miles on the clock. I've been a vette guy in my past life, however, at one time did own a MB 300CE. Always said I'd have another Mercedes. Now I do.


Most impressive is the ride and solid build of these cars..and the SL has the power to back it up.
I'm a avid car guy and aviation buff so I like the combination of speed and performance.


Look forward to reading, learning and tossing a random thought out there when I have one..

Hi, just purchased a 03 E320, like it very much. Was driving a 95 BMW 525i, this is much more comfortable, as I drive every week 200 miles to work and then 200 miles home at the end of the week...very nice car, 65,000 miles, I have done oil and trans service. Only problem to date is drivers headrest, functions fine with memory switches and goes up/down with the door switch only when I am NOT sitting in the seat. Is there a safety switch or something in the seat bottom? I did remove the rear seat cover and the motor and the connections are all fine and like I said it works like it is supposed to while not sitting in it....strange. Passenger side is normal in operation.
I very much like working on my own cars, so will be utilizing any tech assistance on this site...

Hello everyone, my name is Jason. I live in New Hampshire. I never really cared for Mercedes, before i drove one. A friend of mine had a 97 c230 for sale, and i bought it for a thousand dollars. At the time i had a 07 mustang gt and never really cared for the benz. So, I gave the 240 to my 18 year old son.
My son hammered the 230 for about 50k, with 0 services performed. It held up to his abuse, and kinda grew on me.
Then my son bought a 05 c240 4matic on his own. I drove it and loved it!
Last weekend i came across the chance to purchase a 06 AMG C55 with 158k on it. It has all its m.b. service records, 0 rust, and runs top notch!
I have been trolling for a week now. Today I did my 1st oil change on the car, with this sites help! I pulled the front and rear drainplugs, which is the only way to do it right. In my opinion. I plan on doing all my own work on this car, and look foward to learning from the forums.
By the way, the chain parts store sold me Rotella 5w40 and said ut was the best for the car. I was reading the page on c55 oil changes that said always use 0w40.
I returned to the parts store, swapped out the oil for Mobil1. The oil change went off without a hitch! Thank you guys very much!

And, I have to tell you guys. This thing would tear up my Mustang, which i sent back to the stables.

Hi, Just bought a 1999 C230 Kompressor (W202 engine). I have a few questions about the MAF sensor and how it effects idle. I understand these cars have a problem with oil fouling out the MAF sensor. Does anyone recommend an oil bypass canister?
