Hey thanks guys, sorry for the delay. I have been so busy lately. I do have a few pictures, nothing special. The car is not perfect, I have some minor work ahead of me. Majority is cosmetic. I do want to go ahead and share that I am so happy that I joined when I did. You guys really did help me out, quicker than I anticipated. My car had that fuel vapor leak that I read was a common issue that Mercedes is now fixing for free. I took it in, no questions asked and I am driving around a loaner car. The first dealer I canceled my appointment with because they just were not helpful at all and didn't seem very interested in me being there for any reason. But the second, they treated me so well and gave me a free new car to drive around til they are done with the work. Keep in mind, this car is a 2007 that I did not buy from them and I don't have a warranty of any kind. Anyway I am rambling, I just wanted to share that. - Patrick
Thanks guys. Got around 94k on it now. I have really been considering trading it in for an 09 if I can find one, but there aren't many listed. Not for a price I am willing to pay anyway. My car runs flawlessly but I would prefer less miles and the updated COMAND unit. Possibly the adaptive cruise control feature, I saw another one with it. Or maybe the rear window shades, those are cool.
Quick update! So without going into the long story, the E63 just ended up having way too many issues. One thing after another, just couldn't keep up with the problems. Mind you I put a few miles, I think I traded it at 114k miles. It started having a valve body issue, the car would forget what gear it was in and then stay in that gear until you turn the car off and restart it, the passenger zone stopped directing air correctly and was just on defrost, the alternator intermittently wouldn't charge, and on and on and on. So I got tired of fixing the damn thing and traded it for a 2012 528i. It had low miles, clean Carfax, blah blah blah. But I hated the damn thing. It was slow, it wasn't that comfortable, it didn't run smooth, it didn't have a lot of features I was used to, it was weird in some ways like having to turn the car of twice or lock it for the radio to go off, did I mention it was slow? So eventually I just sold it. Now to the good part, I bought a 2009 S63 because I didnt learn my lesson apparently, its Designo edition, clean Carfax, not slow and its so purdy. I don't have any pictures yet because I'm a loser but soon I will post some. Black outside, black and white inside. It does have a few issues, back up camera isn't working, I have this damn belt squeak on engine deceleration I cannot seem to fix, even though already replaced the water pump, tensioner, all the pulleys, and the disc reader just randomly stopped recognizing discs. But other than that the car is awesome.
