HAVING A STARTER ISSUE for the first time though.....
147000 mi, lights come on, radio comes on, battery checked, its fine, all fuses checked, they're fine, but car wont start or make a sound. what can I check?

Usually in most cars when you still have to the radio, lights and a few other things still functional, at least for a short while, but no cranking sound when you turn the key, the battery is almost dead. If the battery was fine, you should hear the engine trying to turn over. How old is the battery in the car?
