We are looking at the GL class. Most likely will be one that is a few years old and has some miles on it, but defintiely looking very hard. Any suggestions??

GLs are great vehicles if you're looking for a full sized SUV. MLs are good if you want something a bit smaller. G wagons if you really want to stand out. If you don't need anything that big, take a look at the GLKs as well as they are great daily drivers with same function and just a bit less cargo space (but easier to drive/park). Can't go wrong with any of those options though, so whichever one fits your personal requirements. Good luck

Thanks for the insight AZN. I think we are looking for something a little bigger so the GL might be the way to go. WE have 3 kids so the third row seating will be nice. If someone with a GLK can chime in as to the seating size (will it accommodate 3 kids ages 10, 8 and 4 months), that would be great. We live about 220 miles from the closest MB dealer so going to a dealer and trying them out is a bit out of the question until we make the trip to purchase haha

wow, that's a fair distance to travel to nearest dealer!
Yeah, for your family size, GL is probably the way to go. You might be able to get by with an ML, but definitely nothing smaller than that. If you're not against used or CPO, take a look at the R class. If you get extremely lucky, might be able to find an R63 which is really a pretty insane family vehicle... power you don't ever find in a family hauler.

We are definitely going to be going the used or, preferably, the CPO route. I will see what I can find in the R63. We aren't tied down to a certain model yet, we just know what we want.
