You really needed a canbus HID conversion kit which Kensun isn't. What you need now to rig it to work would be pick up a canbus HID harness or HID capacitor to wire to your system. You'll want to check with Kensun though because often attaching components not part of original system voids their warranty.

If I have to I will buy a brand new kit from canbus just so I know I have everything I need.

I'm going to check my options with Kensun first.

Just in case I wasn't clear, Canbus is a type of HID conversion, not a brand. If you do decide to get a new kit, let us know, we can help set you up with a proper kit that works. We also have other lighting if you want to upgrade other parts (eyebrows, signals, reverse, rear plates, and interior).

I'd recommend editing that last post to remove your personal email address from public. You can shoot me an email at aznoptics@gmail.com and I can walk you through what you need

It sounds like you probably bought the same Kensun kit I did when I first tried out HID. HID information sounds scary but it's really simple. All you need to look for is a Canbus canceller when ordering your HID kit.

I would recommend buying from a trusted site like theretrofitsource.com

Here is the kit I ordered and it has worked wonderfully for about 4-5 months now:
