Good morning. I am brand new here, and just bought a 2016 C300 4MATIC Sport on Sat. We cannot wait to pick it up on Thursday afternoon, unless we can somehow get there earlier this week.
We had been pretty set on a Blue w/Silk Beige interior as we headed to the dealer. We played around all the prior week with the MBUSA site to configure it exactly how we wanted it. The dealer had the exact vehicle.
And then we pulled into the lot...
And saw the brand new, 1st at dealer designo Cardinal Red Metallic Sport. The color immediately caught our attention. And then the 18" spoke wheels of the Sport model addressed my #1 negative on the appearance of the non-sport C300, the rims. This car is pretty much loaded, with the exception of the driver assist package.
So what if it was ~$6,000 more than the model we anticipated buying!
I actually ended up negotiating a deal I am happy with, barely more than what the dealer had quoted on the Blue non-sport over the phone. To finalize the deal, they threw in prepaid maintenance for the length of our lease term, so I am thrilled.
This will be my wife's primary car, and I will suffer through driving my g37x (I say sarcastically as I love my g37).
Here's a photo of my car from a distance, using an iPhone. The color is a bit off compared to its appearance in person, but I messed with it a little in a photo editing program to get it as close as possible. I am into photography, so I am sure I will get some great pics soon (especially with the Fall colors here in NY).
Just got home from picking the car up...really happy! My wife is on cloud 9 (it is primarily her car). Oh, and her birthday is Sunday, so I am off the hook for going to the mall! ;-)
This is the 1st Cardinal Red sold by this dealer, and the people there were all drooling over it. I told them that everything is for sale, so make me an offer (my wife didn't share that feeling).
I looked at that one, but opted for an Iridium from West-Herr. Now I need a local Navitech-Emit installer and a tech to dress up my AMG rims to match the ones you have. Ones on the Silver Bullet are butt ugly so we will mount a set of hockey puckeys for winter drive and replace them next spring with the AMG's. I figure your wife will be only one in 'ticket me red', so I will toot when I see her parked under the blue water tower...
Ah...but it is not candy apple red, so not tickets............right.
Actually, we are in Rochester, and bought from MB Buffalo. We were in the Buffalo area a couple of weeks ago, stopped at the dealer to kick tires, and ended up really liking the people there. Our sales rep was fantastic.
What are you doing with the "Navitech-Emit installer"?
Also, this may not be the right spot...but we are not able to get the car to start via app (and judging from the reviews on the iTunes site, it is a problem many have). Any suggestions?
I need an installer to mount a backup camera, the only one I have found so far is Smartroads.ca at 2899 Steeles Ave. West Unit# 13 North York Ontario. At the time these C300 were built backup cameras were unavailable so they were shipped without them although it was on the package initially.
I don't understand your comment about mBrace being unable to start the car. I don't think it ever was supposed to do that...locate the rig, lock and unlock the doors, set the panic alarm etc. According to the reviews you are right it actually did nothing. But Verizon uploaded a new release last night so I tried it this morning and pretty much it worked as advertised. I needed it as we mixed up the dongles between he new one and my old ride so I only had one working key.

Brace for the 2016 C300 cars does support remote starting via the app (and I would guess for all models). It has worked a couple of times, but is very inconsistent. I will look to see if there is an update to the app...my suspicion has been that it is an app issue.
