2000 S430
New Owner, old car
Greetings, I just decided that I would try a Mercedes. I have always been a BMW/Jaguar guy. So I picked a low cost car that I could purchase cash and get to know Mercedes Benz. Its 2000 S430 with 120k. Runs great so far, just needs a some cosmetics. Like the plastic under the drivers seat, and paint. Looking forward to learning more about MB before I decide to make a large investment.

We have a 2000 S430 and we love it! I've had quite a few cars ('too many' apparently, including a few BMWs). We had a Lexus LS400 prior to the S430. I think the S430 is a solid car with a lovely motor - plenty of go, quiet and surprisingly economical. We have the long wheelbase version and for a back seat passenger it doesn't get much better for the price. Lot's of info on forums too.

2000 S430
Thank you, I would post pics, but the Chicago winter is keeping her a little dingy right now. She drives very well. I am quite happy with her. The only car that I have driven with a similar ride quality has been the 745LI.
