Just checking in....
Possibly going to purchase a used 2009 S63 very soon.
I'm here to ask questions before I buy, and then will stick around for more info on ownership and customization.

First mod was to replace the hood vents with black ones.
I just ordered OEM vents from MBOEMparts.com. Entered my VIN number and then selected the part in black instead of Diamond White.

2nd mod was to replace the chrome grill with a black one.
Also removed the hood star and replaced with a flat AMG badge.
I think this gives the car a more sporty, aggressive look.

The previous owner drilled holes into the front bumper for the license plate.
We don't have front license plates in my state, so I got the bumper repaired and painted.
Also replaced the chrome emblems with black ones.

After about a month, the new paint on the front bumper should be dry enough to allow for paint protection film.
I've got an appointment for XPel Ultimate to be installed on the front clip, and then Modesta glass coating over the whole car.
Then after that's complete, the last step will be to have the chrome window trim wrapped in gloss black vinyl. The lower door chrome and trunk lid chrome strips will also get wrapped in body-match color vinyl.
That will eliminate the last of the chrome on this car, which will make me much happier.

.Looks great though, the black accents really sets it off and goes well with the white. A much better look than the chrome.

Just got a full paint correction, followed by XPel Ultimate film on the entire front end (hood, bumper, fenders), and then Modesta BC-04 glass coating over the entire car.
This will provide years of protection for the paint from rock chips and environmental hazards.
Next mod on the list is to black out the chrome trim.
Then the stereo system upgrade will be starting later this summer.
