2007 AMG(?) C230
Hello and thank you!
Recently purchased this pretty clean 2007 C230 and have been fixing it up some. Initially took it to the dealership to have everything taken care of all at once but they snubbed me and did nothing, not even the oil change I asked for. 😤
After a bit of time with the search button and a bit more quality time with my new (to me anyway) ride I've taken care of most of the issues I had and a few more in the process. You guys have saved me a pocket full of cash and I've gotten to know this car a little mor intimately.

Still need to fix a few things... Sticking to OEM parts except for the radio which had been swapped out prior to it galling into my hands.
Brake lights, trunk latch, and cup holder fixed with help from here... Dealer told me the brake lights would be around $400 to get to work right and to clear the dash warnings... Simply put in some new hangers (resistance in the original ones was crazy high) for a few $$ and problem solved.
Working on getting the steering wheel controls to work with the Alpine radio now. Through a post here I found the harness that should work, at least the manufacturer says it will but it's not available in the US. (!) Good thing I have in-laws in Russia who are picking it up local to them and can ship it to me. Comes complete with a bottle or three of vodka. 😎
And might I ask... Who in their right mind would tear apart the splash guard to get at the ambient temperature sensor???? Replacing that this weekend...

Great looking ride and very convenient to have relatives in Russia. Got most of my parts in Canada from a MB dealership because you cannot even order the parts in the USA. Had to pay for double shipping but it was worth it. Good luck on your projects.
