Checking In from N.Ireland

Hi there

I've seen the site a few times previously, as I used to drive a '99 C270.

However, for the last couple of years I've driven my '02 C200 (CL203), I've loved it, but the previous owners really let the mechanics and body work suffer... so now I'm fully restoring / upgrading it

All of the mechanics have been finished and the car is now scheduled to go to the refurbishment company for the interior... and after that, the body work.

Will take some before pics this weekend... perfect timing as I'm going to polish the headlights on saturday or sunday (Auto Glym Headlight Restoration Kit). I considered buying new projector lights, but suppliers mainly offer the W203 versions that aren't compatible and also, I'm worried about getting legit R-Hand drive lamps... so going to have a go at fixing up the originals....

Also, planning on having the alloys restored and wondering if anyone has ever had them done in magma red.... wondering what red rims on a red Merc would look like. I suspect that I'm going to prefer the original grey/silver, ultimately.
