Hand polishing always looks great. A lot of people here use a product called plastidip. If you never heard of it, it comes in a can like spray paint but it's actually plastic not paint. It sticks very good and you just peel it off when you want to remove it. Check YouTube for videos.

only the removal of paint it needs a full day for 1 rim, crazy
maybe I will surrender and bring it to a paint shop and repaint them with the same color as before, or darker

if you decide to surrender, think about powder coating. as long as they arent chrome rims or have "pitting." powder coating looks GREAT!
