Posting video from ipad

I am trying to post a video from my iPad - a .MOV file - and have been using MANAGE ATTACHMENTS. The whole upload process appears to work perfectly but no video appears on the thread.
I would welcome any help from more experienced members.

I have tried and tried and tried to post an avatar but keeps telling me it fails. What am I doing wrong? Never had a problem on other forums? I have resized the pic to 95x95 pixels and it still fails...
