PLEASE HELP c300 Rotational Grind Noise front end

PLEASE HELP!! Hi everyone, I have a c300 4matic with 64000kms. Recently had an alignment and some recall with the steering. Everything was done but since then I have this Rotational grinding noise. I took it back in and my MB dealership said it was the tire flexing on the rim. Took the rim off, sealed and reinstalled but the same noise is still there. Any idea friends?

Welcome! Please post a photo of the C-Class. Yes, it is something rubbing or scraping. A brake rotor/caliper? Wheelarch liner?

Welcome The steering recall has to do with the rack and pinion I believe. They must have done something wrong. Bring it back to who ever did the recall work and tell them you now have a noise that was not there before.

It sound like the tire rubbing. Is there any rubbing mark inside wheel well?

no there isnt.
I took it back to the Dealership and they said it is the tires sidewall flexing causing the noise. They again removed the tire from the rim, put lube on it and said it shouldn't do that again. I drove away it's fine, by the time I get home same noise. Next day same noise.

I did exactly that and they told me it's the tire sidewall flexing on the rim. They again removed the tire and put lube on it, and i couldnt hear the noise picking the car up but by the time I got home it was back in full force

Check front drivers side wheel bearing. I had a grinding noise on mine when new and it was the bearing but you only heard it at high speed and the faster you went the more noise. Sorry to hear the dealer cannot correct preoblem

Thanks for your reply. When I took it back I specifically asked them to check the bearing on the front and they said it was fine, I would hear a humming at higher speeds, it's the tire. Get this tho, if I get new tires they cant guarentee the noise will be gone. The car has extended factory warranty but I dont know what to do at this point or of the bearing was even checked like I was told

Is there another dealer near you? My dealership said it could not be the bearing they never go bad I told them if they do not check it I will call MB. They checked it and they confirmed it was the front drivers side bearing like I told them. They had to order the part because they do not stock them since they never go bad. One other member on this forum also had to have the bearing go bad after I told him it was the bearing. Did you tell the dealer the noise gets louder the faster you go? If they do not replace the bearing I would call MB.

They said the bearing was checked and is fine. I really have no way of confirming that tho.

I got the exactly same scenario where I am hearing the scraping noise from front drive side, but if the mechanic lifts the car to check, he dont hear anything. And as soon as I reach home, the sound comes back. I recently got the new rotors and brake pads, not able to understand what sound this is. Other than this i am hearing a humming sound from the back of the car on high speeds.

I had enough, the Mercedes dealership was a joke, after 3 months I traded the stupid car in. No help, just a car in the shop week after week. After ****ing week.
