2020 GLE 350
Frustrated in Dallas
Purchased a 2020 GLE 350, has now been in the shop twice in 8 months for sporadic, unexpected loss of power on take off. Vehicle will accelerate to only 5-10 mph with accelerator to the floor, has placed me some very dangerous and precarious situations when pulling out in front of cross traffic. I have to pull over, turn the ignition off and then restart the car to restore it to normal operations. There are no indications when the issue is about to occur and when it occurs, there are no indicator warning lights or sounds. Dealer seems perplexed even when given the specific date and time to check against the vehcle's computer... anyone had a similar situation?

This place is a joke.
Did you not research this vehicle before you purchased it? It's been a nightmare of unreliability and probably one of the most problematic vehicles MB has produced in recent memory. It's all out there on the www.

OP, that does sound dangerous! Insist on it being fixed and insist on a free loaner car until it is! Good luck on this mission and welcome to the forums!

Well damn brother! Why give our new member a hard time?? Why is it up to a new customer to just want a brand new car that works as advertised?? Just sayin'!

No worries, I did not take it that way my friend.
There has been an unprecedented amount of first time Mercedes owners starting several years back. Unfortunately most seem unfamiliar with the quirks of the brand, and their expectations are often higher than the reality of what they purchased.

Sorry for the OP's troubles and I hope MB is able to solve it. I think the really rude, blame the owner reception that the OP first received was a turnoff. Members need to do better about being sympathetic while providing helpful information to new members. Just my 2 cents.
