2017 M-B E400 4Matic Wagon AMG-Line
2017 E400 Wagon owner

Hey all, new to the forum. Owned a 1980 280CE in the late 90s but haven't had a Benz since I sold it in 2001.

Just bought a 2017 E400 4Matic Wagon with the AMG package. Car is in Vermont and New Hampshire, depending on the season.

Looking forward to gleaning knowledge from the folks on here.

Thanks for the welcomes. I live on dirt roads so my first upgrade will be mud flaps. Also need to add cargo cross bars for a roof box since I ski with 4-5 people almost every day and we take turns driving.

I'm almost certain my '95 E320 Cabriolet is Polar White (9149) over Marble Dark (7201), yet how would I affirm this (where is the variety ID plate found)? I occasionally show the vehicle at MBCA occasions in visiting class (it's loads of tomfoolery), and want to take it to concours level - one of the means I want to take is to have the guards and side cladding repainted, and clean up certain chips on the body paint. I talked with a nearby reclamation body shop fellow who has a ton of involvement in American vehicles yet restricted European information - he speculated that my vehicle is painted with a dissolvable based polyurethane yet he just works with water-based polyurethane paints. Could it be an issue according to a show point of view on the off chance that my vehicle was resurfaced with an alternate (more present day) style of paint than the first? I'm certain that he will work really hard matching variety and matt completion, however I would rather not commit an enormous bumble by utilizing some unacceptable paint type. He said (not certain assuming that it's valid) that a nearby vendor in extremely very good quality exemplary vehicles actually repaints with finish paints; that got me to believing that I ought to twofold check before I push forward and repaint with current paint. Gratitude for any experiences!

There are a variety of VIN decoders that will give you the build sheet which includes the paint code. I used a couple when I was shopping for the car...

MNIAW,

Does your 4matic AMG sled ever hit the slopes.
Should be great skiing this time of year.
Welcome to the forum.
Glad to have you.
