Hello from Switzerland
I would like to introduce my C55 AMG Estate paint in s not so common color : Ice Blue Metallic.
As a happy owner of a V8 from AMG, I find that engine gives this car a lot of character. However, the 722.6 gearbox somewhat diminishes the sensations during sporty driving. I have the impression that the torque converter "slips" a little bit through gear changes. My car has 240,000 km on the clock, and I've started looking into what I could do to improve this negative point. Initially, I imagined that a gearbox oil change would be a good starting point. But after asking a few questions to garages and Mercedes specialists, I was advised against opening the gearbox while it's still running. Only companies specializing in gearbox rebuilds encouraged me to change the oil, but without flushing it. They explained that if some scrap remains formed over time, a complete flush could lower the pressure in the gearbox. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for sharing the information about this gearbox.
Also, I came across a video of a garage that made a software modification to the system to add a new mode. By default, there are C / M / S modes. And they added the "A" mode for "Agility," which allows for quicker gear changes depending on pedal pressure and also downshifts faster. From the discussion, it seems Mercedes might be able to unlock this mode? Anyone familiar with this procedure?
Thanks again
Pitt

Is it safe to do it ? Does it modify the other modes ? Is it reversible ?
Best regards
