2014 S550 W222 Front Door Panel Removal Instructions
I ordered 3D rotary tweeters for my non-3D Burmester 2014 S550. I posted a review of the speakers in a separate thread. Figured I would start a new thread with door panel removal instructions as the topic in case someone else is looking...
I would recommend using a magnetic torx bit. Additionally, the small torx screws that you see me removing and reinstalling may not need to be removed on the passenger side door. I found the need to remove them for the drivers side in order to access the second large screw holding the panel to the door. This was not necessary for the passenger side door (as you can see).

That's what I'm noticing. I attribute that to less people doing the work on these cars themselves or not modifying them.
I'm new to this site and to Mercedes but I've been on car forums for a long time and simply like modifying cars. I always appreciate it when people post their videos or learning so I started doing the same. I think most of my threads on here have been some kind of instruction lol
Thanks for the appreciation and recognition!

You know your good when you test the Speaker in the 2nd video after you put everything back together...
Now I know why I have about 5 crease marks in the lower door, when MB fixed the door lock, the guy was pretty aggressive removing the center strip to get the door apart... Your video explains it all

The driver’s side door is nearly identical to the passenger side. It’s likely by chance that you only see passenger side. When I originally did this conversion there weren’t any videos so it was a 50/50 when I shot mine

lol I actually finished by 1330 hours that same day but couldn't for the life of me remember my login credentials until just now. I believe the 2014 is a little different than the rest of the W222 chassis. The driver's door was a little more difficult. But yes I got it.

I found the kit on ebay. Item #274190678739. You can opt for different grill types once you purchase.
The coding was done at a local spot in the NYC area called bronx audio. Coding cost @ $100 and took them all of 20 mins to do. My headlights can actually protect words. I'll try to do a screenshot.
