should i get the 3 year maintenance or the 4th maintenance? canada
hey guys i got a 19 s560 lwb and ill for sure be doing all my oil changes and work at the dealership and am wondering if it is financially better to get the 3 yr maintenance pkg or the 4 year? ill be having all the services done anyways so which one will be cheaper in the long run? i assume the 4th year but just wanna make sure because sometimes the 4th year service is cheaper then what i am paying in the plan

Since the maintenance package is basically insurance, "They" are betting your car will cost less to maintain and "you" are betting it will be more.
They are good at this game, you are probably not.

The only reason I buy the package is to have objective documentation that all recommended services were performed at a MB dealer so that any MB warranty is valid. If the warranty is expired, I do 90% of the maintenance myself. Otherwise, how do I prove that I changed the fluids and filters with MB approved fluids and filters at the appropriate times?

i will definately be getting all my services done from Mercedes benz for atleast the first 4 years until warranty is over, but my question is that the 3 year package runs me $1300 cad while the 4 year is $2100 cad,
i am leaning towards getting the 4 year because i assume it will be cheaper then paying the pay as you go rate for the 4th service but i am wondering if anyone has real life experience,
like is it better bang for buck to get the 4 year mb plan if your going to be getting the services done anyways? or is it better to get the 3 year plan and then pay the 4th year services as pay as you go?
i am just wondering what will be cheaper in the long run

i was thinking that the prepaid plan gives me savings because i am paying upfront, so do you think its better to get the 3 year pkg or 4? or just do pay as yoiu go?>

It depends on the cost of service at your local dealers. They should be able to give you an estimated cost of the individual services covered by the plans. The costs can vary considerable based on where you live. As an example, the cost of services is substantially lower in Southern California where there a lot of dealers competing with each other compared to other areas of the country especially the east coast.

I do all the maintenance on my 16 S600 Maybach. I got a copy of the services manual off of ebay for about 10 dollars so it tells me how to do everything in great detail.
