Let's settle the contentious dispute over pulleys and their side effects right here and now. Please answer the following question:
What manufacturer made your pulley?
Have you had any problems with your pulley?

H&S pulley
screw-on alloy crankshaft pulley (25 cm), works w/o problems since 3 years. Only issue was 3000 rpm stumble which was resolved 2 years ago by relocating the MAS closer to the IC but I don't consider this to be a pulley problem by itself.

Fever, I would assume it would be the same kit as the SLK230. The newer 2002 C230K Sport Coupe also has the same engine but I think you still need the MAS sensor for yours. Look in the SLK forum and you may get you answer, or look in the C forum for the answer.
