Scorched a 12.5 1/4mile in my E55 [VIDEO]

I shall remain cautious with details, but this was my first trip to the track after 2 months work at modding. My goal is to beat a Viper GTS.

Can you list your mods...just curious what it takes to get a Benz into the 12's.

Thats a very good time, but I am most impressed with the terminal speed.

Please do list your mods. Edit: I see you have your mods listed in your sig.

It must be a little dissapointing to know that stock your Suzuki will Murder your E55 in the 1/4 mile. And for about $2000 will hit +200 mph.

I hope you are referring to your E55, because your Suzuki Hayabusa should run 1/4mile in about 9.9sec @ 145mph.

You will need slicks and 1000Hp to match that with your E55.

yea, my hayabusa is the fastest thing in the world that you can drive on public roads legally. But doing a 12 second quarter mile in a mercedes seems a bit more impressive to me

That is a nice video, but I am confused, I'd expect that with the mods you have you'd be running better times, what altitude is the track you are running at?

ya, well i actually have so much power on tap that I dont use the boost till 2nd gear otherwise it spins all the way through 3rd. I have it wired to the switch under the pedal.
also, the computer gets confused with the influx of more horsepower than it was ever expecting that it wont shift correctly. It tends to bounce off the rev limiter in the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts for a long time, that I have to lift before each shift.
I figure theoretically good for low 120's in quarter on my SO-3's.
More test and tuning to come.

u run has surprising stealth...doesn't look exceedingly fast, but the times and trap speed tell a different story...maybe it's cause there isn't someone next to u. but great run!

yea especially when you see 8 and 9 sec cars run down the track, a 12 second run looks like grandma going to church on sunday.

and yea, i'm lookin for a stock viper to street race....?....?....?

Bored or stroked? From my understanding, wouldn't you have to use the 6L crankshaft, and bore the cylinders as well?

well I dont know much detail about the real hard core engine work. I do everything else myself, and the rest is done by Richie at GTR Motorsports in huntington, Long Island. He knows his stuff about Porsche's, ferrari's, and most German autos.
