10 mins. procedure for remove/install belts for Kleemann pulley upgrade..............

I also decided to remove and replace the accesories because it has almost 60,000 miles it. I know other people has done it before and complainted that the hardest parts is trying to figures out how to remove the belt. Remove the bottom engine cover (plashes gaurd). This allow you later to un-clip the radiator hose on the bottom of the electric fan housing.

Place the tool into the S/C belt tensioner and pull up the handle until you see the belt is loose then HOLD it there and use your left hand to romove the belt. DO NOT REMOVE THE BELT TENSIONER.

That is it, guys !!! See how easy it is when you know the trick. Too bad i don't have the kleemann "ring" pulley here yet to complete the pulley installation. Those of you that complaint about the crank pulley spinning when trying to remove the crank pulley. I think the trick to stop it from spinning is to put the car in gear and jam the rear wheel for the car not to roll.

Nice job Linh! I'm sure you've saved many people hours of work by providing the first half of it here. I personally delivered your pulley to FedEx today, so I can tell you, it's on it's way! Looking forward to seeing the second half of the installation as well as your impressions afterwards.

Thanks

Ben

What do you recomend doing if you have an automatic and you want to remove the crank pulley? Even if you put it in Park, the crank will still spin. Is there a way to hold the pulley in place while removing the bolt? I don't think most people will want to buy the $300 tool from MB.

You don't have to remove the crankshaft pulley to install the ring kit that Linh is describing.
