I have not run a quarter mile test in my car but my G-Tech's zero to 60 times best runs were 4.82 and 4.84 (margin of error .1).

Motor Trend ran an E55 at 4.8 zero to 60 and a quarter at 13.3 so my times should be in that ballpark.

My car was bone stock, with 3/4 tank of gas and 50 lb subwoofer box in the rear.

My pictures are there. I have a few more recent ones from my last track visit (12/02/2001) but haven't uploaded them yet. The ones on the website above are before my clear corners and 20% tint all around.

Ken,

Out of curiosity, what's the weight on those Breytons? Breyton is not know to be light. We have the new Breyton Vision on our 540/6 and it's definitely not the lightest wheel. Also, no suspension mods?? We did the M5 rear wheel liners, initially Koni adjustable/H&R and soon the all new E39 coil-over kit, full upgraded angel eye/LED light, ACS mirrors, Supersprint exhaust w/ 3" bypass, ACS short shifter. Here are some pics....

How did you ever fit those 275s in the back? The M5 liners? When I put 275s on mine, they were rubbing against the outter wheel wells. I've got 18x9.5s in the rear, maybe I should go smaller? I'm not sure about the weight of them. These have been my favorite wheels for a while now. I had the same type on my previous '98 M3.

Hehehe, we actually went back down to 265. The 275s rubbed like crazy, even with the liners and all the fender rolling your heart can muster! Too bad, I've seen a few folks run 275 all around for the track on their M5 (using the M5 rear wheels on all 4 corners). Works great!

What kind of tires do you have on your car? If I didn't get the M5 liners, would they rub on the inside? What are M5 liners exactly?

Also, do you know any good place to get a heavy-duty clutch + lightweight flywheel for my 540? I don't wanna go the Dinan route since they are almost asking for my soul by wanting $3k for them.
