About to make the leap to Kleeman in March..
the old 2000 C280 hopefully next month. The install is about 2360 and kleeman
another 9500. One thing for sure is I'm not ever selling this car. It has to stay
in the family at all costs - I'll never get the $$ back. I know many of you have
had great success with Kleeman and I hope for the same. I'll keep everyone
posted.

Now that you've decided to proceed with the supercharger, I do have some questions for you.
1) You already have the Powerchip 93 ECU upgrade. Will the Kleeman supercharger work properly with your ECU? or do you have to set it back to stock settings? Or have you decided to get the stage 2 option from Kleeman where they will re-map your ECU to their own settings?
2) Have you done any research about whether a typical Mercedes dealer will perform routine service/maintenance on your car once you have the supercharger installed? Or do you have to go back to your installation facility for routine maintenance? I ask this because I have heard that many dealers will not even touch a car with a Kleeman Supercharger.
3) Like you, I want to keep my car for a long time. Do you have any idea from your research on how reliable the Kleeman system is? The posts about water pump failure are a bit scary, especially since there is essentially no warranty after 1 year.
Thanks.
>> No. The ECU will go back to stock (for the gain, it's not that big a deal when compared to the gain of the Kleeman unit). I may end up with the Stage II - need to check costs.

>> I generally do all routine maintenance and I just decided to do this since my warranty is out.

>> I have nothing but positive feedback from other owners who've sent me IMs. Yep, I know about the water pump issue which
is resolved. I understand the 1-year warranty.

Congrats. That supercharger is rad. You will have one bad dude when all is said and done. I know Cory and Brandon and KleemannUSA can be very helpful with questions and concerns. They were/are very helpful to me (I took my car out there last month) and continue to provide excellent customer feedback.

Oh yeah, I remember the pulley problems with the ps coming off. It's worth it so hang in there.
