Cancellation of R500 Order

Cancellation of R500 Order
Sadly I will be cancelling my order for the R500 on Monday morning. This action has nothing to do with the car but with my personal situation. Once I have dealt with the personal situation I will again order another R500.
After all this time I was looking forward to this delivery but personal health matters are more important to us "old farts" than another new car. I will continue to read and comment in the W251 forum and of course participate in the W211 forum as the owner of a 2003 E320.
Enjoy your R350 and R500's and lets see lots of pictures and comments.

nevada_jack: you've been the force behind this forum since it started. it's really sad to see that you won't be getting the R500 you've been thinking of for so long - at least for now. i was thinking you'd certainly be one of the first to get the car and upload loads of pictures, from every angle. well, that might still be the case - but for Merc's sake, i hope not

I have been away for some considerable and have just read your message. I sincerely hope that whatever your illness is, it will be resolved and hopefully you will be able to purchase the car of your dreams.
Who knows, it might even be a diesel powered R-class

I hope its not as serious as it sounds. I mean you cancelled your order!!! Its all you've been talking about for what seems like nearly a year now. I just saw my first commercial on the tube about the R and it looked great.
Anyway, I hope everything works out for you and your family and take care of your self bro.

Wow... I'll add my best wishes to you Jack as well. You've definitely been the host and source of knowledge here and we'll miss you very much. i hope you'll still be around here, even if you aren't taking delivery now.
