07 r350 AMG Pkg,.....good deal....?
Hi folks, new here..
just picked up my wife's new 2007 R350 with AMG Pkg,PI & PII pkg and Xenon PKg.
they tell me it's one of a kind in the US i ordered this spec and waited 14 weeks. They say only 7 R350's and 6 R500's have ever been built with AMG Pkg. They haven't built another one with AMG since my order nor is there any orders in the system.
No Reabtes or incentives on the 07, lots on the 06, we cancelled our 06 order after learning what the 07 pkgs' were offering for the money. Much ...Much more.
we got iridium silver with grey MB Tex interior.
MSRP was $58,500.
I leased for $6535 drive off & $495+ tax per months for 51 months and 10K miles per year. Lease was based on $52,500. Residual is $29476 after 51 months.
Is this a good deal...?........$6000 off MSRP on a 07.........?REMEMBER 07....i was offered $14,000 off MSRP on all 06's but with all you now get in the 07 pkg's MSRP would have gone up by $10K...?

$6000 off MSRP on a 2007 is the best deal that I have seen. You are correct in minimizing the spread between the 2006 and the 2007 discounting. Right off the bat, the 2007 MSRP is $5000 below the 2006, effectively a $5000 discount and bringing your $6000 discount to $11,000! I am not entirely familiar with the option packages, but if they represent further savings, I think you have done quite well. The Money Factor on the 2007's is now quite low and that helps to narrow the gap further. Good luck with your new R class! (Next time check in this forum or Edmunds.com Forum BEFORE you sign the contract!! I think you did fine this time)

Thanks Mike,
makes me feel better. i also learned that the 39 month residual used to be 73% until the 2007 came out it dropped to 48%.
seems like anybody who bought or leased a 2006 got the worst deal, considering the price drop, residual drop and options added for less $$ starting 2007.

ML-350, Maserati Quattroporte
True except for those of us that saw steep discount. I had a 62K MSRP and went out the door at $1700 FOR 27 MOS/12k miles for $599/ month tax included.

Great looking R. Congrats! The Sport package adds a lot to the look of the car. If you get a chance to take some interior shots that would be awesome. Love the AMG rims though.
