what do you call this part?

Hi All:

Can anyone tell me what part (name and part number) is indicated by the red arrow in the picture is? This picture is not of my vehicle.

I did a sudden brake on a stop light to avoid beating it and right after that, the circle with parenthesis (O) keep on showing up on my dash. I looked at the manual and it says brake pads replacement.

I did a visual inspection and the item indicated by the red arrow is broken. I searched the internet and did not find a parts diagram for the brakes.

I have a 2007 r350 and the broken one is from the right front brake.

It is brake pad wear sensor.Your pad should be fine, just a broken sensor.
You can get from autohausaz for less than $5.00.

AsianR350,

Thank you for the quick response... It is not the brake pad sensor but the part the sensor plugs in to.

Yu Chem:

If you look at the picture I attached, it is the part where the pad sensor plugs into and that broken part is not in the picture you provided so honestly I don't know the number.

Nobody will have that part except a Mercedes dealer so advisable to let a Mercedes parts person find it.
