2008 R350 and I bought it new. Currently less than 40,000 miles on odometer.
No problem so far, all services are done by my local MB dealer. I did all the air/ cabin filters myself.

R320 MY 2009 purchased new in November 2008. Currently at 179000 km. Just cost me $1300 to change EIS which was starting to crap out. Great family hauler, but it has been plagued with problems. Wife loves the car and so do the kids. Not the first MB I purchase, but I am sworn off the brand. Will not buy another European brand. Will go Japanese next time around.
Cheers

2007 R 350 189, 000 miles
I have a 2007 R350 at 189,000 miles. I wish they didn't stop production of this car. It is one of the most comfortable car I have driven.

Another $1500 on rebuild of rack and pinion just today. Barely at 180000km. I'm hoping that's it for a while. In less than a month, it's cost me $3k!!! This plus the EIS replacement. Lat effin MB I'm getting.

We have a 2008 - R350 - Mileage = 49,250 miles. Great riding, very comfortable vehicle. Purchased used in summer of 2014 with only 32,000 miles and we are the 3rd owners. Since we've had it, we've replaced all tires and I installed the OEM navigation system. The only real problem we've had was with the rear hatch. It would no longer latch/lock. Thankfully, the provided extended warranty took care of that. The wife, kids and I are very happy with it!

2008 R350 with 114,000 miles. I've had no major problems from the car so far and it's been the best family hauler I've ever owned. If they still made them I would buy another.

R350 Mileage
I bought my 2008 R350 in 3/2015 with 92K on it. It was in perfect condition. Clean CarFax and was maintained per manual at the dealership that it was originally purchased . I believe that is a key point in buying a good one. I currently have 127K on it with no problems. I too, have kept to the owners manual maintenance schedule but have it serviced by a certified MB shop, not the dealership. (a bit cheaper ).
I think that this car can go as long as you want it to. Maintenance is the key. It is expensive as you know, but worth it in the long run.
We're retired so the high miles are racked up on the Interstate Hwys. as we travel the US.
I've always wanted to see how far a car can last. Some MB's have lasted more than a Million miles. Maybe this is the one. As of now it seems to have the bones.
I do see some suspension air bag problems being discussed. If that ever happens to mine , I may go to the coil spring aftermarket refit. Been hearing some good things about that.
FYI , I live in Ohio, car is garage kept, winters in FL.

Welcome to the group. I live just a few miles from you and also have a place in Florida. We drive back and forth 4 or 5 times per year and there is not a better highway cruiser.
If you get rear air shock problems don't overlook the Arnott replacements.

2007 R350 : 127 k miles .
Purchased CPO in 2009 . Horrible reliability for 1 year , back to the dealer monthly. Perfect for the next 4 years.
at 100 k : Rear bags replaced with Arnotts .
at 110 k : Transmission valve body replaced.
at 120 k : Front fuse box replaced ( Wipers on constantly )
If it continues to require $1000 a year I will keep it till 200 k .

New to me 08 R350 gasser 81k miles
Only problems noted so far are squeaky belt roller and transmission hose connections leaking(will trim and place clamps)
Have parts on order to replace serpentine belt tensioner and rollers, fluids, filters, spark plugs
Fortunately my VW mechanic can handle or access resources to keep me rolling
Awesome ride

In Oct of 2016, I purchased a 2007 R350 with 57k on the odometer. I immediately began having suspensions issues so I converted to the coil set up mentioned in several threads here on MRWorld. Car is rising great and hopefully I do not have anymore issues.
Good things is, the lady I purchased it from kept the car in great shape (dealer maintained) and she transferred her extended warranty to me. That warranty is Platinum and it lasts until June 2018. So I plan to fix as much under warranty as I can between now and then.
I love the car though....

wow great stuff on the R class -
I recently bought a 2010 with 65K on it...only one owner and s/he appeared to have taken good care of the car. No major issue shows on the carfax and so far I am very happy with it. I also purchased a 1800 dollar comprehensive warranty on it, which I hope I don't have to use much! Anyone btw has experience with these outside extended warranty companies? I was a bit reluctant to get one as I don't feel like these companies can be trusted and always try to get around paying you for a damaged part somehow, although I ended up getting one!!

My newly purchased 2007 R320
I just purchased a 2007 Mercedes Benz R 320 AWD with 86,200 miles on the odometer. I am loving it so far, especially the fuel mileage. I am averaging 25mpg. Far superior than my Suburban I had before. 12mpg no matter how I drove it.

Update
2011 Bluetec. Now, just under 150K kms.
I really like this car but was bailed out by the extended warranty. If I didn't have this, I would have been out of luck the past year and a half.
My car has essentially been re-built. Just in the past year: Rear air suspension (bags and sensors), Transmission, Torque converter, Turbocharger, intake manifold, DPF (I'm probably forgetting some stuff). Also wear items - brakes and routine maintenance. My dealer went to bat for me, so a lot of the major items were covered by my Mercedes extended warranty. Some of the parts were 50% covered. But it was still an expensive year out of pocket and the car spent a lot of time in service.
So right now, my frame of mind is to sell it while it still has a little value. The problem is, every time I take it for a highway run, I end up thinking I'll keep it a little longer (great highway car and consistently get sub 8 L/100 kms fuel consumption.) I really like driving it and it's comfortable and roomy for the family.
Car is currently running great (actually better than it has ever run) but in the back of my mind is what will happen when the extended warranty runs out (in a few months)?
I'm going to look at the Volvo V90 when it comes out (end of March in Canada). That might be my potential replacement.
