These wheels look really good on the R but I am leery of putting bigger wheels on bcos they always (ALWAYS) come at the expense of comfort.
I put the largest wheels the manufacture offfered on an s60 you felt every crack on the road. Then I wanted to refinish them so I put the original 16" wheels back on and I never went back. Difference is bologna and filet mignon. I guess my priorities changed a bit. I always got compliments on my wheels and I loved the way they looked. But after that gets old you really appreciate a nice comfortable ride.

R320 CDi Sport
Not sure if allowed in this section, I have been offered a set of 19" wheels for my R320, although the same size rim as the standard ones fitted the tyres on them currently are 255/35/19 front and 285/30/19 on the rear. My question is what damage could I do running these tyres or would there be any recommendations on what to change them to?

Thanks in advance.

Help please

I have a 2012 and got front lowering springs and got a lowering rear valve link to lower the rear so wondering what size I can run on 22s I have some factory amg 22s that came off a GLS. And wondered what tire size should I run but don’t want it to be too rough?

You're going to have a rougher ride than 18s or 20s regardless of what tire you choose. You could get larger diameter tires for more sidewall but that would defeat the purpose of going to larger wheels in the first place.

The correct tire size would be 255/35/22. The softest riding tire at that size is most likely the Yokohama Parada Spec-X. You can go to 285/30/22 or 265/35/22, which opens up a lot of options. Personally I would recommend the Continental DWS06 Plus in one of those sizes. You will also need to verify that the tire widths are appropriate for the width of the rims you have.

So to clarify, you ran a 30.4 inch tire on a 20*10 wheel with a +46 offset? No rubbing issues?

I now prefer some wheels that can take a bit more pounding, but I do still really like an aggressive low stance too.

I went a different way than most, instead of low profile 22's I decided to go with over sized 20's to really stuff the wheel wells. I think visually it makes the whole truck look even lower than it is and also gives my R a well rounded aggressive look, also makes the R look smaller in a way too

I used 265/50-20's which have a diameter of 30.4", these were the original tires I had on my FX, the stock R is 29" dia. these are ml63 rims, 20X10" with an et of +46

here it is sitting behind my dead atm FX which is on a staggered set of 22's, 11" 315/30-22's out back, each wheel on all 4 corners of this car are bent to death, 22's don't work in nyc year round, that's for sure

And considering the slight stretch and semi-meaty profile of the tires, I'd guess they are probably a 265/35-22
Hello, wish i could've responded to you back in 2014. The reason we don't share offsets on the page is because fitment is our secret sauce. If we share our sauce then everyone would do it.

The R-Class looks awesome!
