Questions about my 2015 S550 Coupe
Hey guys I know there's not a lot of activity on the forum but I figured it was worth a shot to ask a few questions in case any previous owners know the answers rather than me taking the car to my dealership next week.
1) When I put the car in reverse the screen splits into three things. It shows the reverse camera on the far right of my screen, it shows the 360 degree view to the left of that in the center and then it shows my consumption MPG on the far left. I can't figure out how to get rid of the consumption MPG part on the left. Why would I want to see my consumption when I'm reversing out of a parking spot? I would rather see larger versions of the reverse camera and 360 degree camera so I can view my surroundings better. Does anyone know how to get rid of that?
2) When I receive an incoming call while my phone is connected to bluetooth the ringtone volume is extremely loud through the car even if I don't have the music volume loud at that time. Does anyone know how to adjust the phone volume? I can't seem to find a section for that in the telephone settings. If I turn it down on my phone itself then when I'm not connected to the car the ringer is very low.
3) My car has the black piano wood steering wheel. Unfortunately it got some scratches from wearing a ring. I'm **** about my cars so the scratches drive me crazy now. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to try and polish them out?
4) Is there a way to put all 4 windows down at once? Or do you have to do the front and rear windows separately?
5) What are the remote controllers for that came with the car?
Thank you in advance. I appreciate any insight. I'm loving this car!

2) I control phone volume the same way I control all other audio volume. Either the rotary switch on the console, or the push buttons on the steering wheel.
3) if the scratches are deep enough to catch your finger nail, about the only thing I can think to do is to hide them with furniture scratch remover, which uses dye to cover them. Available where furniture polish is sold.
4) you have to press each window switch to drop all 4 Windows. They are one-touch-down, so just press hard and release.
5) I'm not familiar with remote controllers for this car. Sorry.

Thank you for your answers. I appreciate the insight.
1) I cannot find this anywhere. I've racked my brain going through the infotainment system and read through the manual several times with no luck. Maybe you can tell me the steps so I can change that? It's been driving me crazy.
2) Thank you the volume controls on the steering wheel seem to do the trick. I just didn't know if there was a permanent "volume" setting somewhere instead of having to use those controls each time a call comes in to re-adjust.
3) I will try that. I was thinking about maybe calling a local piano store today and asking what they would suggest for black piano wood lacquer finish.
4) No problem. That's fine.
5) Yeah I have (2) remote controllers but not exactly sure what I would need them for.

Ok thanks I'll walk out to the car now and check under the Navigation section to see if I can find where it's at. Yeah it has two remote controllers like you would have for a television. I'm not sure what they are for. I'll get a picture of them.

That is for your rear seat entertainment, one for each screen and can also work your front screens. If you don't have the back seat entertainment, you have them by mistake as they will do nothing, put them on ebay for 50-75 bucks each, lol

I don't have any rear seat televisions. Maybe I'm not supposed to have them. I was able to find the section to change the left side of the screen. It only allows a few choices. I was really hoping there was a "none" option to get rid of that section all together. I also noticed if you choose the "weather" option the time it shows does not match the time the car shows. That's weird.

Thanks that's exactly where I found it. Just wish there was a way to choose "none" and get rid of that section all together like I mentioned in my previous post a few seconds ago. Also would like to have it on weather but the fact it shows a different time there is weird and bothers me so I guess I'll just choose a different option. Really doesn't make sense why something needs to be there to begin with. Why wouldn't someone want a larger view of the cameras instead of having some useless data there?

I had not noticed the time difference. You are more "****" then me I guess, Didn't think that was possible. You can't use the remotes then

It's easily noticeable since the car time is just an inch or two above where the "weather" shows the time. Definitely **** about things like that. No reason they should be different.

Maybe ask your dealer service depart that Q ?
Do you know the map version you are running ? Getting the 2016 map update comes out in June but the last 15 update was 2/2015. You must get the updates from your dealer ( they have to upload them ) and they don't like to do it.

The car in service date is 03/2015 so I would assume it has the most current map however I will have my dealership double check.
On another note my fragrance bottle in the glove box is empty. Is there a way I can just open it up myself and refill on my own?

Yes you can. Remove the tape, pull the top off ( straight up ) then you must twist off the inside top. Add what you want to close the same way. The top must perfectly line up with the buttons when you place it back on. Pretty easy ..

Many people don't even know that and buy new ones for 95-110 bucks.

You will find the version you have in the NAV options section.
