Tool Kit

Further to my purchase of a '16 coupe, found no tools in the trunk, no lug wrench, jack, etc. What should be there?

Same here. Looks like the Styrofoam had a cutout for a jack, but no jack. Tire inflation kit included though....so I'm wondering the same. Maybe it's only supposed to have a bottle of scotch and a "help" sign.
thanks for posting.

No spare tire so no need for tools, lug wrench, jack. Tow eye bolt should be there. My 16 coupe is the same.

There is no tool kit or spare because of the runflats.
I specified Michelin Pilot Sports on all my cars. Of course no spare but M-B parts dept. sells tire repair kit and inflator which I purchased for each of my cars. So far haven't had to use them.

Ron, Do you have a part number(s) for the repair kit and inflator? Thanks

The tire repair is called "TIREFIT".
The name is: Container, TIREFIT. Part Number: A 000 583 07 12
The Compressor is: 1180FMHN8, Tire Inflation Compressor, Part number:A000 583 15 02
The container of tire filler fits onto the compressor. The filler and air are then forced into the tire and provides a temporary repair.
The tire should then be professionaly repaired. Of course with a runflat the tire will have to be replaced.
But this will get you off the side of the road and to place where the tire an be repaired.

there are many jacks and air compressors that work. I have put the part # in here before. I may go back and find this later. You need a 1/2 " breaker bar and 17mm deep socket. And any of the mb or porsche compressors. And the jack, which I think was a 212 or S or ML or any number of them, and a string plug kit with good reamer, and a side cut plier

Thanks Ron. That sounds like a good plan!

I realized that a spare wheel would not be practical given the size of the trunk. My car came with the hub center removal tool, a useless MB lug wrench, and the pump/glue for roadside tire repair.
So I added: a tire plug kit, a MB jack with wrench, and a torque wench with extended 17 mm 6-sided socket. That way I at least have options at roadside to:
a) Remove the wheel and go get the tire repaired/replaced.
b) Try and plug the hole from say a screw/nail.
c) Use the glue/air-pump to plug a leak.
Had to carefully cut away the black polystyrene to make the torque wrench fit snug and low enough to be flush. It all fits nicely, moved the air-pump behind the netting within the trunk.

MB Jack - p/n : A 166 580 01 18, or Interchange Part Numbers A 164 584 07 13, or 164 580 02 18 (used $77 on eBay)
MB Jack wrench - P/N 414 581 00 49 ($15 on eBay)

I didn't even consider a plug kit, but that may be a good option. VERY much appreciate the inclusion of MB part numbers. Thanks so much..
Then again, you are in Texas and Texans are pretty resourceful.

Presently 19 S560 SEDAN, 2014 XK, SOLD GLE 450e
I'm curious about the size of your spare. Is it the same size as the front wheel/tire assy? or the rear wheel/tire assy? Or?????? I'd suspect the front size. I'm thnking of buying a spare tire/wheel assy from Detroit Wheel and Tire company.
