1991 420SEL & 300E, 2003 BMW X5, 2001 740iL all on DUBS
ABS problem PLEASE HELP!!!
ok this is the situation yesterday i insulted a new set of rims on my 420sel, when i removed the old rims i noticed that my rear passenger side caliper and both rear rotors were rusted. i proceeded to scrub all the rust off that was visible and spray paint the caliper and parts of the rotor that do not come in contact with the brake pad. i noticed that in this process i got a little spray paint on the rotor that comes in contact with the brakes but did not think twice about it because i though it would rub off any way.
NOW THIS IS THE PROBLEM! every time i hit my brakes my car slows down normally until i get close to coming to a full stop then i feel a pulsation from the ABS kicking in right before i stop! IT DOES THIS EVERY TIME I HIT THE BRAKES! Is this all happening because i got some paint on the rotor? HELP!!

Did you get the paint off of the rotor?
You might have compromised the caliper and got paint where it shouldn't have been.
Check for the calipers not expanding from paint build up.

You probably have 1 or both ABS sensors that are "dirty" and need to be cleaned. This or a failed sensor will give the same feeling you are having as you slow down and just about come to a complete stop. The pedel will pulsate and then go close to the floor.
