WOW....I am amazed. Rarely do I come across people who even know where that country is. I am truly touched to hear that you enjoyed your time there. I too hope the economy improves there and the way things are going I see good things coming within a decade or so.
I was not offended in any way. Anyone who has ever driven a C class, E class or S class knows that it has a feel and quality of a Benz, its just the size and motors are different, otherwise the solidity and prestige is always present.
I personally have a thing for large cars, I would gladly trade for a E55, C32 or anything that runs in 14's or 13's. I am a speed freak after all.

You can't compare S-class to the C-class, C32 is a 4 door pocket rocket, while the S-class is a 4 door luxury limosine type car. C32 is stiff and holds corners well, S-class has the luxury of cruising and when is needed will produce enough power to almost keep up with the c32 (s500 with Chip or a stock s600). I personally would not get a c32 although it is a great car, I just love the S-Class due to the fact I like big cars. A mercedes is a Mercedes, but NY C32 dont discriminate on the w140 S-class, It is the best Mercedes that was ever built excluding the maybach. Any car which has the chrsyler emblem hidden somewhere around or inside the car is not the mercedes of the past. I could have bought the new s600 or s500 but I decided to go with the 745li due to the fact of reliabilty issues with the benz. 1994-1999 Were with out arguing the best car of its time and still holds up as the best car in the world. Yes the new S55 S600 is more powerful, but then agian we can all go and upgrade with brabus and get our selves a 7.3L S-Class and outpower any New S-class. My 340HP and 375 Torque to the crank is just fine with me. Again I am stating, Maci you are wrong for rebading your car, and NY c32 you are wrong about talking **** about the w140 s-class and although you said it was not to anyone on this board, it was shot directly at my fellow w140 owners and me.

My wife is originally from Gagra but left because of the violence back in the early 90's. Her family now lives in Tbilisi so its pretty easy to visit them from NY with a quick connection through London. During our visit, I had a chance to go to Batumi and I immediately fell in love with that area. We're looking to buy a small house on the mountainside over looking the black sea.

Damn...this is like a honda Civic board. My Lincoln guys where a lot better at this back in the day.
I would take a C32 over S320 only because i think 3.2 liter motor is very slow in a heavy car like that. And any car that runs over 16secs in quarter mile is slow in my books. A nice fast car runs mid 14's at least, so C32 I think would be a better car for me. Its comfy fro 2-3 people and if you dont care about others in the back (like me) then it will work for you just fine. besides, what was the last time you have seen a C32??? RARE
I still think 140 S class is one of the best cars ever made, and thats why I have one. Just because the car is big or small doesnt mean it bad. So relax people.

Have you ever owned a current model? I bet not. You're so quick to point out that you have a Mercedes S-class or BMW 7 series and how much better they are than someone else's current C-class or 5 series. But you forget that your always a generation behind.
You own these previous generation luxury cars because you can't afford the current model. And to top it all off, you rebadge your outdated car to look like another outdated car. God it must suck to be you!
You may think you have a better car but no one outside this forum does. Does it sting a little knowing that your almighty 1998 S320 is worth less than my watch?

I wanted a sports sedan and I bought one of the best available. Whereas you wanted a luxury car so you bought leftovers. lol
I was wrong when I said my watch was worth more than your car. Your car is worth $9-12k, so its about the same price as my watch.

I always wonder why the 1999 s600 had the older style buttons and a non digitial clock while a 97 c class has both updates buttons and a dig clock, I'm not saying which is better but that really gets on my nerves, I plan on getting a 99 s600 in the future (if someone is selling one) and really would have liked it to have updated things, as well as the comand option.
