Gas only lasts maybe 3 months before it starts to seperate. You are doing more harm than good by pulling all that bad gas through the system. It will just gum up your system. Drain the tank, flush it if you can. Put in super Then try again. ( you will be amazed at what the stuf that comes out of your tank looks like) Its a great car treat it right

Drive on

You should have done it the other way around. Leave little gas in and put a full tank of NEW gas in. Oh well, lesson learned, move on and get it fixed.

Fuel pump is under the car (right rear). You will see a black plastic cover held by 3 plastic nuts. You can drain the tank at the fuel pump.

BTW, you should hear the pump turn on for a few seconds everytime you switch the ignition. Have someone listen for it while you turn the key.

Concur on the fuel pump, the filter and accumulator are there also. I would definitely replace them (filter and accumulator) and properly dispose of any old gas you have.

You should have drained the old gas completly from the system before you did that.

At least drain the tank and the fuel lines.

I am not that familer with these cars, I'd get a FSM and start figuring out what to drain.

hey
you also might wanna change that fuel filter located right next to the fuel pump, the s500's were amazing vehicles of there time, so treat them right, they will last forever..

GOOD LUCK!
