what do you think about this S600?
Hey guys,
Some of you may know that i'm currently looking for a S600. I stumbled upon this one:
1991 Mercedes 600SEL
71,000kms
$14k CDN
Does this look like a good car? it has the AMG package, but the car's side profile looks a bit too low for my liking. Also, i am still waiting for this blue to grow on me.
Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

If the car is of 1991 (and it probably is - looking at inside picturezs) - why all external details are like "post-94"? Is it in the reason of the AMG package, or maybe there was any other need for changing/repairing. Seems like the front grill is newer, tail lamp set, white side turning lamps, badging. Of course - it is beautiful - no doubts, and looks like in a very good shape. But I am just kind of person who would prefer to keep the "original" as much as possible - and not attracted by such changes. So a "91" car should look like an ex-dealers "91" for me, and not to pretend to be newer. It is kind of similar to the discussion on rebadging etc... 
But again - nothing wrong with this car if somebody likes it.

Does not look proper.
The rear tail lamps and reflectors, appear to be 95, the trunk lid also has been reshaped or replaced, the early ones had square corners. The profile looks a litlle short, it does not appear to be the long model. The car appears to be a "euro model" that has been spruced up and badged. It would have been called a 600 SEL since the S 600 was not adopted by MB untill 95, it also should have the V12 on the rear pillars. The radio is not proper either!

he's in canada, which mean this car could easily be a grey market car from japan...
i peronally think the updates are great, why would you not make your car look more updated just by changing out a few lights etc??

95 E320, 19 Ram 1500 Hemi, 21 GLS 580(wife)
It is a japanese car, but that isn't bad, they have to maintain their vehicles there like no other for emissions, not to mention the taxes there, that car could only be owned by people with a thick wallet. I think the color combo is great! I'd get a jap-spec LHD benz in a heartbeat.
