how to disable ASR?
Does anyone know how to disable the ASR control? This function have always cost the transmission to go on limp home mode in spite of fixing the defects. Is there anyway to disable this function?

Is there any one out there with a TRUE and HONEST and EXPERIENCED advice on how to override the ASR function? Or are there non or has no one ever done it before? For those who are just guessing please keep it to yourself as this is a legitimate issue to many of you out there, i could not find any resolution and maybe others have any idea to share.

In turn mine off I love wheel spin, even in snow.
yes it has changed you have to inter a url.Where as before you could browse your files.I added them to album on page 4.
To use ASR off button you shift into Drive hold button for 5 seconds.I use it at the Drag Strip to heat my tires.

the switch you posted as i told you since last year was not an off on switch for ASR, it is for snow or regular start, it is a switching system to start 2nd or 1st gear. many do not understand what the ASR is for and which of the components are connected to the system, almost all electronic functions are controlled by it including the transmission, speed sensor, brakes, lights, etc.

Maybe your car is different year, the snow/sport switch is further down on my car.
Listen I race at the track,to heat my tires I use the switch to cancell asr.On another forum I hear the same complaint about ASR in older w140s.On those cars you spend $200 for a special switch that connects under the hood.

got the ASR issue resolved, take the socket on both left and right ETA out, connect right bank socket of ETA first and start engine. stop engine, connect left socket ETA then start engine again, let the ETA get it's bearing point, making sure that all other parts within the loop is working right.
