Where to start? The Italians or the Germans?
95 S600 Renntech

Yes, this is a coupe in the sedan forum. Anybody on here know this car? Have any history on it?

I don't have any information about the car. But the nice pull-loops on the spark plug boots look nice! Would be good if MB continued good design features like this on current cars, but they have slid too far down the road of nickel-and-diming for this to be the case.

I was able to ****** it up for a pretty good deal. If it doesn't turn out to be anything more than a regular 600 coupe I can sell it. First stop will be a dyno.

Soooo OP what does she make on the rollers?

Back in the day RennTech spoke of more displacement from the 120 for more power. Is it equipped with headers? K&N air filters? Does it pull like one in stock form or does it get more exciting in the upper rev range? 1995.... Does this one have the four speed or the five speed?
If the computer has been fiddled with expect it continue to accelerate beyond 130mph. Hopefully it has bigger brakes then standard. When I applied the brakes firmly in my ‘96 S-600 from three digits they were all done stopping by 80. With that large car still doing 80. To the driver this is not amusing.

The car is at Renntech now. Awaiting to hear back from them what the deal is. Brakes are on my list depending on what they say about the engine. Not carbon ceramics but some sort of an upgrade--agree with you on that completely. It has the 4-speed transmission currently. Renntech said cosmetically the car was very nice. Dying to know what I bought!

I had it trucked directly from the seller to Renntech. That way they can deal with any mechanical issues and get it on a dyno.

Rotors on hats can be much bigger then standard and fit under what look to be 18” Monoblocks. That car came with 16” wheels from the factory if failing memory serves. Aluminum calipers can be much bigger as well. Lots of room in the rear for the same.

Interested to know of how she has been molested. Usually they have RennTech badges all over the car.

Update from RT. They're rebuilding the throttle bodies and MAF's. Replacing fuel pumps, spark plugs, tires, driveshaft flex disks, and throttle position sensor. Then they will be able to get it on the dyno.

The transmission is on its way out, and then there's probably $20-30k worth of other items that need fixed (trim pieces, interior switchgear, motor and trans mounts, suspension bushings and mounts, etc, etc, etc.

Will update again!

Five speed transmission will be an excellent upgrade from the four speed.

Hope she is equipped with a 7.3 Liter.

Enjoy your project!

Confirmed by Renntech that it's a stock motor, so going to unload the car on somebody who wants a project.
