Ok guys finally got this MOD installed !!

I met up with 02S430 this morning and he did it under 20 minutes.

THX Chris

Next Mod is the MagnaFlow exhaust and then the updated Headlights, I frankly cant look at mine anymore compared to other s500's.

Real Easy

I did this is about 20 minutes. It actually took about 15 to do the first side then I blew thru it. Way easier than the front light mod.

Smile Side Mirror Led Signal Light Upgrade

First of all I want to thank you for the inspiration to upgrade my lights.

After looking at your post I found replacement lights on E-Bay. I bought the cheap Asian ones from Hong Kong total cost with ship[ping $40.00 canadian.

I have a S500 and it was easy to upgrade. The metal clip I eventually found close to door side interior under the respective mirror. That was the hardest part. It is important to test them before one slides the cover back. As i had one plugged in to the centre slots but had to reverse polarity to make it work.

I did have fault messages originally but lately they have been fine. I would highly recommend the upgrade. My right mirror signal light originally had some Led lights out and the message annunciation was annoying. I was quoted $300 to replace with labour +tax on top would be $400.

Enough said Thanks Again !

Clean Headlamp covers and program steering wheel?

Any have a home remedy to clean and clear up the headlight lens?
Also, when I goto exit the car the wheel moves up... I would like for it to go in and the seat to move forward also. This place ROCKS!!

It has something to do with our versions of cluster or something in that range because 02S430 also told me had that problem, but on mine I have no error.

You need to check the 2 pin connector for the led's where they plug into the housing... flip them around replug and then turn on and try this on both sides until younget no error, also make sure they are plugged in the center two holes.

I replaced mine yesterday, it went pretty smooth, except I pinched the wire while putting it back on and it got sliced. So I spliced it back together and it works fine. I did however get both L and R errors as soon as I used them, but once I turned the car off and back on they went away. Whole process took about 20 minutes except the splicing part

Want to add an input that they're starting to turn a little yellow.

Anyways, try turning on the turn signal first with the old led, unplug it with the turn signal still blinking, then plug in new led.
You have to play around with different combinations and it will eventually sync itself.

I brought from ebay seller 'mini-43', as shown in your first link.

One side fitted fine, however on the other side I accidentally droped the mirror housing off whilst the wire was still in, and ripped the wire straight out. I had to resolder the whole thing.

If anyone is getting turn signal problems, and its not sync'd right, spend some time messing with the wires, flipping them, engine on/off, etc.

It took me about 2 hours to get them resolded and working again. However everything is all cool now.
