Rear Shelf
The previous owner left a lot of "crap" piled up between the rear window and the brake light, I've tried blowing it out with compressed air but it's not doing anything.

Any clues to removing the rear shelf that's by the brake light?

Yeah... because they were cleaning the rear window with some real liquidy stuff, alot of it dripped down the glass and it's all nasty by the brake light. Also, by there the brake light is, there is alot of crap between the glass and the brake light unit (like dust and it looks like ashes of some kind )

I want to clean it out it's nasty.

I am looking at the manual but it's not making much sense to me... I am at work now, so I'll have to check out the shelf when I get home, but I don't remember it being that easy to take apart...

Got it... just put a flat head under it snaps right out... look at how clean it is now...

Just put it between the rear shelf and that thing with the tail light in it. You probably dont even need a screw driver, you can pull it up with your fingers from the edges.

Where can I get my hands on the manual with all the detailed photos on the S500? I'm trying to find out the route the GPS cable takes from the rear roof to the back of the COMAND. Looking to troubleshoot. Thanks in advance...and sorry for going off topic just a tad.

Also when you snap it back on, be sure it is tightly snapped otherwise your subwoofer will ratle.
