I just read that they are going out of business. They have NOT responded to any of my emails nor returned any phone calls in over a week.

BAD business practices. They should shut the site down all together and not keep it running at all.

I am looking for a MB dealer that discounts the keys at the moment. MB of Lauderdale discounts.

Thanks for the update - that sucks. Looks like we're back to the stealership again until we find another alternative. Hopefully someone will come up with a new option. Man I hate to burn money like that!

The keyless card is actually 21576607069999. Sorry about the typo above. I can't edit it now.

Anyone know where I can get this for a discount? Any MB dealers doing this?

I talked with oempartsdirect two weeks ago and they said they were out of the keys for the MB 2007 E350 and to call back in two weeks. I called back today and they have no knowledge of any MB keys. Are they playing dumb or just an incompetent or lazy sales staff? Any update on the keys.

Looks like you have to go to a local dealer now. I have not found one place that will accept faxed or scanned images of your registration and drivers license to obtain a new key. They will ONLY do it in person.

Sucks since all the local dealers want close to retail for the Key I need and it's $300!!

my dealer charges $160 for a new key. This would've been the cheapest alternative

You have to buy the key and then the key slice (cut part) separately.

just a option for my problem, my only key was falling apart and the buttons were cracked and starting to not work at all, i got a key housing off ebay for 36 bucks took the electronics and the blade and put them in the new housing, worked like a charm, even came with new batteries

just a thought if a worn out key is your problem

ok just so one things clear this is the black key not the new silver one, i dunno if the new one has the same circuit board inside.

ok so ya take the blade key out and push that gray piece under the blade in the direction of the green arrow and pull on the end of the key it opens right up

hope that helps

I don't know what you mean by "that site" since several are mentioned in this very long string; but look at posts starting at 188 and going through 201. Then see your dealer, as the newer posts indicate.

You have to buy your keys from a dealer now. The prices have gone up.

This key has the blade insert sold seperatley to manually open the trunk and glove.

ps. Thanks to the boys in the C Class Forum for bringin this awesome upgrade to my attention.

Go to http://oempartsdirect.com/

Then go to: ( 2 ) Search by factory part number and in drop down box where it says (select make) put Mercedes.

Then cut n paste these part numbers

2117663606 ---- for the KEY STANDARD add to cart

Then cut n paste

2037665006 ---- for the BLADE SMART add to cart

You will obviously need to enter your VIN # in this process so have it handy.

Enjoy

The first part is possible. See your dealer. It is the second part - "for a cheap price" - this is impossible. Which you would know if you read the whole string.

Just for a quick update on prices, I ordered a Keyless Go key for my 05 S600 and picked it up yesterday. The key cost me $305.00 (I'm in NJ) and it's not even the newer, chrome style. The chrome key is not available for my w220.
And yes, it must be programmed to the car by Mercedes.......

There are no "cheap" options for our keys.
I would beware of Ebay keys.....

$74.99 here:

http://www.originalkeyless.com/2002-...Key-Remote.htm

But beware:
"Mercedes vehicles require a scantool for programming. Many Dealerships now have small portable scantools and can perform this procedure for you in the parking lot for free as a courtesy to their customers." Not sure what my stealership will charge for this service.....................
