Got my very cool New Style OEM Smart Key today !
Got it today and for 61.00 bucks delivered I am thrilled. Opened it up walked in the garage and started her right up. This key comes programmed from MB but you will have to fax your drivers license and reg. or pink to get it. Once you place your order they will e-mail the request to fax your proof. This key has the blade insert sold seperatley to manually open the trunk and glove.
ps. Thanks to the boys in the C Class Forum for bringin this awesome upgrade to my attention.
Go to http://oempartsdirect.com/
Then go to: ( 2 ) Search by factory part number and in drop down box where it says (select make) put Mercedes.
Then cut n paste these part numbers
2117663606 ---- for the KEY STANDARD add to cart
Then cut n paste
2037665006 ---- for the BLADE SMART add to cart
You will obviously need to enter your VIN # in this process so have it handy.

Just ordered mine... cost me $81.00 though because I got next day shipping (as I am leaving for the weekend and want the new key before friday

Only that i get it right, i can write down the VIN of a car i would like to have and they ship the keys for it to a place of my choice ?
(i doubt that this shop is serious, i do not even find a dealer address)

The key has to programmed by MB and does come that way from the MB facilty below.

by any chance do you know if it comes programmed for keyless go equiped vehicles too? my benz is a 2006 and didnt come with a keyless go card. The programming is in the actual key itself.

It is a standard smart key.. ignition,trunk and lock,un-lock function's. The keyless go key is around 200.00 from what I have seen. You can e-mail oemdirect.com and ask about your year and maybe it will be cheaper than the 200.00 dealer charge ?
